Here is my butterscotch cable knife. I am keeping this one for myself as I don't really have any smaller ones to carry as an EDC, and it turned out pretty nice:D. 3/16" brass mosaic pins that I made, 3/16" lanyard tube, and black spacer material. Butterscotch micarta from Tracy, thanks:thumbup:
OAL: 6"
Tip to handle: 3"
Cutting edge: 2.5"
Spine thickness: .1875"

very sweet, what type cable?
Thanks. This was 1.25" cable done in a canister with powder. Gives a nice effect and breaks up the cable a bit. I have a few bigger blades in the works like this, also a couple of billets waiting to be forged:)

Tracy,

Here's the matching 1911 grips I made from your Butterscotch Micarta scales.

Now I'm gonna have to order more.

Thanks again.

I already did a thread on this one, but I wanted to add it to the original thread. Thank Tracy I really like the color.

I'm glad to see this thread bumped again. Tracy: How many of these are still waiting to be presented?

I never kept track of who has posted one and who hasn't. I didn't expect a 100%, every one gets busy. I hope to see some more when people get a chance to use the stuff.

Still working on mine; I had to finish a batch to be sent for HT but this and a handle on a Mule for a customer are my next projects  It won't be as pretty as the ones posted so far, but who gives a damn as long as it cuts, right :D

now those handles I like...and the matching set is pretty cool.

It was a pain to cut the scales in half but it was worth it. The knife handle were going to be a lot thinner than the scales were originally and I didn't want to just lose all that material when I thinned them so I cut em in half. So what to do with the other one; make matching grips.

I'm glad you're happy with the results.

OK, finally here is my next knife and as agreed it is wearing Tracy's butter scotch micarta. I cut one of the slabs in half, so I still have the other one to be split for another small blade:D. I think it looks good and I like the color. It is 1095 with Peters Heat treat, blank cut by David at Great Lakes my design, hollow ground by me. Blade is 3 1/8" tip to scales and 6 1/2" OAL.
