G-shark's snarks (and other associated ramblings)

Probably no one is snarking because everyone over the age of 21 is out on a date, trying to meet a future date, drinking adult beverages to celebrate the end of their workweek or possibly some combination of each. I would be doing one or even two of those things if I weren't taking prescription medication that prohibits the consumption of my favorite libation and/or I could get around without crutches. Some people are probably home looking after their kids to make sure they are not consuming said adult beverages, or are just too damn tired after working all week to ensure the survival of their progeny to do much of anything and they may just be imbibing liquid nourishment from the comfort of their living room couch with their computer off. If you're gonna be all pouty and make :grumpy: faces about that at your age, feel free. It's gonna be a long haul, Kid. TANSTAAFL.

Did that answer your question?

We would get along great if I could type good.

Thank you. I already knew what they meant. Now you have educated yourself as well.

I like to pass every new word that comes along by a dictionary of some sort (to be on the safe side) as of today I have never herd of such a thing as a ''curmudgeon'' but it isn't a word I will use with repetition.

You notice that since WW has gotten off the caffeine, he IS actually posting less. Still very actively, but less.

MM thats a great practice. It will get you a HUGE vocabulary, which is never a bad thing.

Good idea. But it's only new to you; as your research shows, it was actually coined several hundred years ago

You think so? 'Cause at the present moment, I'm feeling like a cantankerous old curmudgeon.

Me too. Honestly, there's a lot to be said for being cantankerous and/or a curmudgeon. First of all, they're both fun words to say!

More importantly, it's just a relief to say whatever is on your mind because you actually know you're right, and not give a hoot what anyone thinks about it. I'm for it!

Before young mountainmist gets any more rash ideas, like "schooling" grown-ups on what words mean ... you've got a long, long way to go before you earn the stripes to be cantankerous or curmudgeonly, kiddo. ;)

Agreed, a good vocabulary is the key to a good impression in my opinion.

Not to educate, but to add to the conversation of the thread. I wouldn't dare contradict (or ''school'') a adult that deserves my respect (If the adult in question is not at fault).

So, did anyone else watch the last episode of Eastbound and Down? Just caught it tonight - very funny. Sad the series is over, but it was nice to see a North American TV series go out on top rather than slowly wither away. BTW, Kenny Powers has got to be one of the best characters to ever make it on television.

Looks like the one 42Blades designed, on the Baryonyx site.

I gotta say, this is Snark, if anyone cant take a little heat from a 13 year old, than you probably shouldn't be in here ..lol. Personally I think other than being Hyper, which is completely age appropriate, MM is alright.
