Gareth bull: Slow Delivery/waitlist thread

Sorry to hear that. The recent "radio silence" is likely bothersome as well. On a positive note, he is shipping knives.

I haven't heard form him in quite some time. Maybe he has his head down and is bull dosing through orders.

My orders/dates on the first page are just the people who ordered from him and are on the forums. I'm sure there's a lot more on his plate than just the orders we know of.

That being said it would be nice to hear from him just for an update.

BTW: I still am loving my Gem. His craftsmanship is very good and worth the wait

Hi E_KG,

I placed an order for a shamwari XL in November of 2012, and paid for it then. Still no knife...

Dave

Same here, ordered two knives that just had to be assembled. Paid in advance of course, only got one delivered 6 months after since then, it's been excuse after excuse and lately just utter ignorance to any form of contact that I have tried.

People in South Africa seems to be getting a few knives delivered. May be because being part of the South African Guild might require a bit of due dilligence with local customers.

Such a waste of talent, that's sad!

don't your have a liner lock shamwari and a phantom folder?

Nope the Liner Lock Shamwari was a knife that he did for a forum in France (My forum) I had 2 phantoms on order for myself, the second was never delivered. People in France ask me about their orders and until now I was on Gazza's side - only advising to pay when they will have photos of the knife ready to be shipped.

ah that makes sense now.

if you could tell me the exact time you placed your order, I would be glad to add you to the list on the first page

Nope. Not a whisper. I generally come here for some kind of update whether it be from Gareth himself or another member. I'm fearful in this case "no news" is not "good news."

Yah but he has got more knives out this month than he has in the previous months when he was communicating. I would just like to hear from him.

Not trying to derail the thread but i just saw a small warlock posted on JD forums and he's asking 890.00 us.
It is used and looks like the lock up is at about 90%-95%, i hope not all his knives have similar wear in by the lock bar.

That lock bar is crazy far over, but you don't know how hard the person who owns it used it.

It doesn't look very hard used but who knows.

Thank god I requested early lock up on mine

oh and the guy who's selling it on the JD is major price gouging. Guess it comes with the territory though of a rare knife from a maker who doesn't have much product out there.

My Gem might just be a very good investment :D

My bad, i figured the exchange rate with british pounds, if you figure it with euro's it's 740.00 us... still a little pricey in my book.

He is selling in British pounds I thought?!?!? Isn't pounds represented by the Capital "C" with the equals sign in the middle?

Edit this symbol: €
