I would think who ever they belong to would have heard they are complete from Gareth, but many actions here have defied logic. I'm curious too as to which knives they are and if they are part of the thread list. Mo' info please...

I have just been tasked to sharpen these units, therefor please forgive me for not divulging more info - I believe that this prerogative rests with the maker or owner to publish.

I trust that you will understand my position in this rather delicate matter which I really am not part of.....

I may be off topic but.... Why cant he sharpen his own knives?

Did I miss something?
 
Hey, whoa, guys — I believe at least one of the knives in question is mine. Gareth did sharpen it, but MadRookie is known far and wide throughout South Africa for his sharpening skill — a knife that spends a little time with him can cut slices of time and space.

So I asked Gareth to let MadRookie loose on the blade for a morning.

Gareth should have it in the mail today. When it arrives, I'll post photos and impressions.

Ive been asking this and no one replies. I know Teague's is done but the other person is a mystery.

Maybe it's someone who's not on the forums....

I still have NOT received a reply to any of my emails and it seems that I'm being ignored as others have talked to him.
 
I received a response from Gareth on Monday the 10th promising delivery by the end of March, and pictures of my knife in the next week or two. He said he is out of LSCF at the moment and needs to get more before mine can be shipped. I will let you know when and what I hear.

That response is typical. I only need xxx and it'll be done in _____ weeks.

It's time to take this to PayPal and IC3.
 
I think it has been 8 weeks now on this thread and 2 weeks on the SA thread since Mr. Bull has made an appearance.

If anyone has any contact details for him, can you please PM them to me? I'm interested in address, any known e-mail accounts, phone numbers, web addresses, etc.

Waiting to hear now. I feel confident the knife is finished; Gareth sent photos and video, and MadRookie sharpened it to his high standard. The only thing remaining is a tracking number.

so he did miss the shipping date...

He should've had Rookie ship it out to you since he has a lot better track record, and actually communicates :rolleyes:

My knife "was ready to ship since the first week of August " and he send me 5 or 6 emails saying that he was going to send it.

This is why it was so frustrating because you don't need 4 MONTHS to go to your local post office.
Myself have been on waiting lists from a lot of custom knife makers and I am really happy to wait my turn.

I Really hope that everything will work out for everyone. I will get back to you tomorrow with hopefully good news.
