Gear2survive knife shop [SOLVED]

March 19, 2013 to Febuary 22, 2015 = almost two years. Gear2survive offers no explanation as to why they have kept the money this long and their responses on this forum strikes me as passive aggressive. Not giving this guy a prompt refund makes Gear2survive / Marc a thief. It really is that simple.

Thanks ammiraglio and Gear2survive for posting up. At this point I cannot see myself giving any business to Gear2survive.

Before anyone else chimes in, the seller needs to do whatever he can to make the buyer whole. Period. Keep the bashing comments out of here, we do not need to do that and it solves nothing. Capiche?

UPDATE

To be clear and precise to the single cent, so everyone has the elements to evaluate, I'm detailing:

Two separate payments have been sent to Gear2survive, $ 469,99 per single knife - 2 knives = $ 939,98
I don't want back the PayPal commission, so I'm expecting $ 469,99 per knife. Below one transaction receipt.

Today I've received this... $ 385 less $ 15,32 paypal commission = $ 369,68

Now, WHY "minus 15%" ?
What about the other refund?

I think should be better to refund everything and close the complaint, what does this mean? Less 15%? What's my fault?
I don't expect interest on $1k for two years, but at least to have back the money I've sent! Just that!

I had sent you an email advising you of the existence of this thread. Not looking to bashyou, though I must say I'm curious like the other members how something like this could have happened but that's your choice to decide to give an explanation. I don't know what transpired to get the issue drawn out the length of time it has, my only intention was to assist in help getting this resolved for this member which I hope will be expedited. I think you'll agree an unacceptable amount of time has passed according to the customer trying to get refunded.

Thank you for your comments. We are not hiding we are not running from anyone. Of course we will participate in the forum. But like I said 2 sides to everything.

He did send me an email Feb 12. Had a messy week last week with ice storms.

So will fix it. We had many ddiscussions over This. We all like to do the right thing. Call me a fraud or whatever we know where we stand. A lot of times we are noticed for bad before good.

Anyone wants to discuss it I can be reached 770 712 2289.

Why the crisis? What's to discuss? This forum has a very large following from around the world. Do a simple web search for gear2survive knife shop. You'll find a link to this thread about five down and 3 out of the first four are to no stock items. The longer you delay the OP's refund the farther up the list it will go. Such is the power of BF and the internet. Make it right and look good. Keep up the delay and look bad. Simply refund the OP's money in full and move on. Unless you plan on abandoning your website?

There are few ways to more quickly destroy your business than by pulling something like this.

I'd also be interested to know why you felt the need to refund his payments minus 15% - did he do something that warrants a fee? Why should the buyer be out a cent on this?

Hello Marc, I'm the other guy that together with Ammiraglio sent to you 469.99$ for the original ZT0777.
Two years has passed and I have been relaxed even if you just reply to my email just a couple of time in 2 years.
I know life is hard and I've never put you under pressure because I know maybe you have to harvest money to refund us.

Now it's time to act Marc!

I'm waiting a child and money has become really very important, I need to have my 469.99$ back, soon and fast.

Thanks you, I know you will understand me as I've understood you.

I'm sorry to hear this involves more than an isolated case.
You two have an amazing amount of patience. Should have posted much sooner if you were unable to rectify this through the seller. I hope this gets taken care for the both of you a.s.a.p.
while I respect both of you having great patience and understanding towards the seller, your the one's I feel sympathetic for at this point.

The only things missing are claims of computer and "personal" problems from the thieves and liars.

Let me get this straight, by "handling this" you mean

refund only 1 of the 2 knives paid for and charge 15% for keeping his money for 2 years.

Conversely,

BladeHQ notifies customers of non-stock items within 1 day and sends them a $100 gift card.

Refund the man's money, all of it. I recommend anyone that is doing business with Gear2survive never to do business with them and spread the word.

@TOMBSTONE
Thank you for your support and consideration!

@craytab
I think you've got the amazement in my uppercase "WHY?"!

@JohnWE
They are not missing...

Another vendor to put on my do not do business with list.

That is, unless things are properly sorted out and we are made aware of the whole situation.

I'm sorry to notice that 469.99 - 15% = 399.5$

Please Marc contact me ASAP.

Please let's find a real solution.

There are some good steps going on here - at least the buyers have most of their money back. Mlacrimo - it would be great to hear from you as to any further details and the issue of the 15%.

I'm going to say their are 2 sides. The older website stated that this was limited piece. They knew it would take months. They were told there was a waiting list. I had ordered 10. They started coming in from my whole seller.

In order people got them. My older website clearly stated no refunds exchanges on limited special pre paid preorders.

I offered exchanges and part cash to make it right. I too was hit hard by the economy and medical issues. At no time did I ignore them.

The 15 percent was part of exchanges. That will all be corrected. Plus that is a New website.

The customer is right sometimes but not always. I admit my end he should admitt on his end for not reading what was stated when ordered.

All is being refunded. All communication on my end from this can be directed by email from buyer. I'm fixing it.

I have a right to be just as angry. Thieris too full sides and he was offered right.

I promise I wrote I'm sure I will take on more attacks. I left my number up. Not one phone call. I'm free after 415 pm eastern

...I left my number up. Not one phone call. I'm free after 415 pm eastern

Of course you didn't. The discussion is here, on this forum, in this thread, not on your phone. Sorry, but that is just the way that forum discussions work. If you want folks to know your side of things (and comments like "I have a right to be just as angry" are meaningless without context) then you need to post your thoughts here.

At this point you aren't looking too good and anyone doing a search on your business is going to find this thread. If I were in your shoes, I would certainly give my side of the story here. Expecting people to call you is honestly unrealistic and even if they did, won't undo the damage being done in this thread. Your call, of course, but the fact that you are failing to respond isn't helping you any. A solid response, logical and void of any BS, would go a long way toward getting people to see that there are indeed 2 sides.

Being "hit hard by the economy and medical issues" is an excuse for individuals, friends and family, but not for anyone who has a business and takes someone's money. If you look through this forum you will find innumerable instances where people have deals-gone-bad because the seller uses this same excuse. Typically, it turns out not to be true (not saying yours is not true - just that this is a very, very common false excuse). Sorry, but none of that is a valid reason for not handling this guy's issue properly by returning his money.

All that said, "All is being refunded. All communication on my end from this can be directed by email from buyer. I'm fixing it." is great to hear. Hopefully, it all works out for the OP. He seems reasonable in wanting to get back only what he put into this situation. That is fair - reading only his side of the issue.
