GEC’s jigged micarta is really good looking - I think it is a lot nicer than plain smooth micarta.

I've never had jigged Micarta, kinda excited to see how it feels.GEC’s jigged micarta is really good looking - I think it is a lot nicer than plain smooth micarta.
Well, if I get lucky and score another I’ll keep you in mind.I don’t know the last time I was excited about a GEC, but these have me excited! I love spear blades and have never had a 56 but always thought they were cool. Kinda reminds me of a eureka which is a favorite of mine. Of course finding one is the hard part.
Thanks, Dan. That’s very nice of you.Well, if I get lucky and score another I’ll keep you in mind.if not no worries

Jigged Micarta has a great feel, and provides a more substantial grip over smooth Micarta IMO…GEC’s jigged micarta is really good looking - I think it is a lot nicer than plain smooth micarta.
Outstanding knife you got there! The difference between this SFA and the regular version is a shield, right? As for micarta, great feel when polished good, yeah. I must also admit, that smooth micarta feels a lot more grippy than natural smooth materials.Jigged Micarta has a great feel, and provides a more substantial grip over smooth Micarta IMO…

Does it say Tango on the tube?It glows. Love the guitar shield. Nice flat grind, no half stops, zero play, nice job GEC.

Very cool, guys. I like that there are no seams in the acrylic like some have had in the past. Very clean shield inlay too.
Oh yeah…I figure that was just the oil bath on them - but at the time I thought they might be two toned. I wonder if you could do a light dye and wipe off the top layer and let the dye settle into the jigging to get this look though.JonMcD those seem a bit darker than what is rolling out now, right?
