Very true, I suspect the majority of buyers now are flippers trying to make a buck. If that weren’t the case they wouldn’t be on eBay and elsewhere for 2-4 times more. The reason most people here ignore those questions is because discussing purchasing is against the forum/subforum rules:
We want the forum to focus upon the discussion of traditional knives...not the purchasing process, prices nor vendors and their websites.
As for “sources,” the list of dealers is on GEC’s site.
Also, I’d be willing to bet that the guys who have been buying GEC knives for 10+ years make up a very small percentage of the people buying them today. There weren’t that many buyers back then, which was why knives were fairly easy to obtain, despite lower production numbers.
So make sure to do your part to starve the flippers by not buying from them!Very true, I suspect the majority of buyers now are flippers trying to make a buck. If that weren’t the case they wouldn’t be on eBay and elsewhere for 2-4 times more.
If I didn't already have a Blue Black Richlite on the way, I'd be pretty jelly over those gorgeous Red Linens!I received mine today. It has interesting “freckles” on both sides. I wonder if this is a rare freckled-redneck variety.

It’s tempting at times, as someone who doesn’t have a decent line to any new ones. But I persevere in my principles of not buying them. As you say, all it takes is for folks to stop buying off the flippers and they become available again…maybe! So make sure to do your part to starve the flippers by not buying from them!![]()
Good jokes, GEC knives, air-traffic control - hell, most of life is all about the timing! It’s tempting at times, as someone who doesn’t have a decent line to any new ones. Do you mean natural linen? I don’t see a black linen. The orange delrin and black linen are low production numbers.

I have same "freckles" on GEC kitchen knife's muslin micarta, many of them. I think while it is a feature in muslin, it might be a bug in red one. Anyway, nothing too bad, right?I received mine today. It has interesting “freckles” on both sides. I wonder if this is a rare freckled-redneck variety.

For as fast as these have been selling out, I haven't seen many pics posted. Maybe the flippers got the lion's share.
My Blue Black Richlite should be arriving today, USPS willing and the creek don't rise.![]()
Crikey I haven't even seen one for sale.
Dunno why I let myself get my hopes up on this one, lmao. There's a nice full size orange case with my name on it somewhere.
