the blue rich lite looks great - I passed on the rich lite models because I was thinking they would just be black - oops! I was not correct….

Where have they even been for sale? I'm not looking to buy one but I find with every gec release people post up photos of their new knives before I've even seen them for sale.

That's what frustrates me, I don't buy every single knife released, I'd rather see each knife go to someone who really wants it rather than having it for the sake of having it. But when a knife comes up that I really do want they seem to be all sold before I've even found them for sale.

GEC has a list of retailers on their website.
 
I'll be overjoyed if I manage to pick up one of these in Natural Linen Micarta, but if not - this one definitely scratches the itch! Glad I didn't pass on this Blue Black Richlite!

O1 is essentially 1095 with a little Cr, V, and W added. Interestingly, in Larrin's CATRA tests, 1095 performed a little better than O1. And 420 stainless, which we often look down upon, did the same at Rc 55 as 1095 at Rc 62.
 
Postie Mike dropped off my new Black and Red Richlite Bullbuster a little while ago. I’m very pleased with it. I took a pic with my 2019 Black Linen one. The pulls are about the same 5-6. Fit and finish is excellent. I wasn’t sure if I’d like the richlite but it looks better in person than the pic can capture. Oh yeah, any Porch regular looking for a #21 in black linen for under $100 shoot me a PM.
