GEC 25s - Gots 'em?

I hate getting on this thread  I can't buy any of these knives from dealers and evilbay wants a fortune.:D

You the man, sugarleaf! These are some great ones to own, don't know where you found them but you done good,,,,very very good!

That yellow UN-X-LD Barlow is perfect. I love the blade combinations sugurleaf.

Thanks Markesharpe! Speaking of perfect, let's talk about that stag charlow you put together. Now THAT is perfect!

Thanks Perry! Basically just looking under every rock I come accross :) BTW, you probably didn't realize this, but I was the one who bought your Northwoods sampler from you a while back, remember? Thanks for passing that beauty on to me!! Hope you have been well!

I had a look at a yellow warnie very similar to sugars on the bay just the other day and near swallowed the mug my tea was in. They are very sought after now. Never thought I'd see 25s hitting the same price points as Charlows.

That's enough of that though. 25 content required....

This one was a gift from a forumite, or should I say forumita :)

I sure didn't but that was and IS a rare one indeed! One of the few made in that red and black tortoise shell acrylic. I think there were only 7 made!
I hated to see that one go but you can't keep everything and there is always another knife to buy.:D

Yeah, saw that one too, waaay out there. Still there...Just because you ask, doesn't mean you'll get... Haha

True that Perry. Always more wants than resources.

I just sold off several of my knives, not the older ones, to provide funds for the new buys coming. Just the way it is but I like it that way. It kind of rejuvenates the whole collecting thing for me. I use the older knives to study and admire what came before. There's always something else to learn ya know.

Inspired by your post, I carried mine again today:

You're right, that looks great. How about the blade?

[I love GEC's stamped blades. UN-X-LD, indeed.]

~ P.

I just realized, I don't think I have a picture of the stamped blade as it is is now, used, and patina'ed.

Only one as a new, shiny blade!

I'll have to try to get a new pic this weekend.

Well, it was time to upgrade the display a bit, the $5.00 shotglass holder from Goodwill just wasn't cutting it anymore...

Sorry for the less than stellar photography, they just came in and I wanted to see how they looked.

Yes, "they". I ordered two, good thing too, as three didn't make it in. (Well, two actually. The black micarta is the pocket pal at the moment)

Has a door and latches even, Hooo, da fancy, yeah? Helps with dust and twitchy tails. Fortunately, up to this point, the collection doesn't seem to have garnered much feline interest.

Let's see how many of the new ones Sarah can spot...

Of course, that's not to say the old display ain't no good, jus' gettin' a little crowded...

Nice Bocote Barlow, one of my favorite woods...

GEC 25s - Gots 'em? That's a MAJOR affirmative from AKC! Very impressive knives and display(s)

Yes, super collection. That display case looks like it was custom made for it also. Great find!
