What are you waiting for? Hop to. You have an extra display to fill... ~ P.

As you wish...

The Banana Peels are all s/n 02, as are the River Blue EO and Red Hangman.

Then there's a Tractor Red (#13) and Tractor Green (#42), with a Cameo Clip appearance...

Should get things off to a good start.

Wishing everyone a happy, joyous, safe and prosperous New Year!

Wow. I'm so jealous!

I remember looking at Greg's serialised 02 selection of yellows some years ago (I particularly like the Sheffield jig), but at that stage I wasn't so interested in the 25s.... More fool me.

I've a few more too but I have no time to take pictures. I'll try and get some up soon.

Btw my tractor green is 49 and after my half congress is probably my most carried - it saw in the new year with me last night.

:)

Happy 2015 #25 lovers! I just won my very first ebay knife auction ever, and it's a dandy! A single clip in cinnamon swirl, 1 of 14 short run from '09. Here she is...

Sugarleaf, I think you're cornering the market on the 25's. very nice collection. I need to add a 25 at some point but I am focused on the Barlows at the moment.

Thanks for the nice words TX_planes. Man, I'm small potatoes compared to some of the 25 collectors here. Have you looked at AKC's posts ?? I am not even in the same ballpark, let alone the same zip code...

 I don't even have a zip code... only a frostbitten postal code. ;) These are my only two #25's.
Really hope they make more. They get a lot of pocket time, and usually as a pair. Seems whatever knife happens to be in my right pocket, this Bullet Jack is often in my left.

Nice Bullet.

Haven't been able to track one down yet. Or, I've just missed them...

Wow! Stunning collection. Congrats on the Ebay win:thumbup::thumbup:

They're too round, too short, too chunky, impractical.

So I've heard, and to a certain extent agree(!).

Yet, these Weird Little Stubby Things® continue to bring me enduring delight.

Last Rodeo recently asked me if he could send me something. Even though I registered his words ("single wharncliffe #25 in white bone"), I somehow entirely failed to envision this:

[Extra thanks to PLK7 for the wee owl.]

What a beauty!

Its arrival has prompted an immediate festival of clicking, clacking and comparing, undertakings through which I enjoy my knives almost most of all-- especially the Comparing.

With its closest relative, my #25 Jack in Appaloosa bone:

Substance in the single blade, a good little fingers-full:

(But oh la, that cut out near the Apple Jack's secondary blade-- gets me every time.)

With my other "white" #25s, which prove to be anything but when directly juxtaposed:

The wharncliffes:

My single-bladed #25s:

And right here's where I start to get all jiggy all over again. How marvelous the shields, each so different; ditto, the blades:
IMG_6976.jpg~original

Speaking of shields, GEC's UN-X-LD shield is one of my favorites. And wouldn't you know, I didn't have a #25 sporting that shield.

Until now:

Back "home" in their designated space, with my two #26s-- although I now see that I need to switch some places (based on my preferred juxtapositions).

Thank you so much, Last Rodeo! The knife itself is of course exemplary, but having its arrival plunge me into such a happy consideration of some of my favorite knives? Your kindness and generosity are exploding exponentially, over here. :)

A beautiful collection, Sarah! I never tire of your WLSTs. Wonderful little jewels is what they are! What a great thread full of eye candy!

Beautiful new #25, Sarah! Many of these I was never even aware of. I like focus and you have plenty of that! Love seeing all the variations in handles and shields. I only have a little Tidioute ebony remaining in my humble collection but I love it! GEC built these with such precision that I can't let it go.

Your kindness and generosity make the Trads forum and exponentially nicely place for all of us.

I'm so pleased you like the knife. It looks at home with its brethren.

Thanks Ismaris! I really like the three you have too

Congrats on the new addition P! Your collection is amazing. Thanks for the WSLT inspiration. That's a very nice and generous gift LastRodeo!

Sarah, that single Wharncliffe in White Bone has me generating White Foam from the mouth!

What an excellent knife and even better as a present, looks a treat with your other light bones. Well done.

Regards, Will

Pertinux - your collection inspired me to begin mine, it's a pleasure to see them :)

Sugarleaf - I continue to grow jealous of your aquisitions, you have a gift for finding the rare stuff ;)

cccxiv - lovely groop of stags. I am particularly envious of your sfo wharncliffe barlow abomination :)

My internet connection here is terrible and power has been coming and going recently - the awful weather continues and until there is sunlight I won't be able to take decent pictures at all but I have been neglecting this thread recently so here are a few items to keep in with the spirit of it (some of these you will of course have seen before);
