Wow, these new #25s look great, in all the new cover variations.
I also think the slimness of the one-bladed iterations somewhat ameliorates the (beloved) 'stubbiness' of the pattern, maybe the best representation thereof.
Thanks, everyone, for posting up your pictures!
-- I'm glad to see that the stag covers-- always a wild card-- seem to be well-chosen and -hafted for this pattern. Big smile.
Gotta say, pertinux...the blue EO from KSF is beautiful and aside from the EO Stag, probably the nicest #25 of this run.
Although this one is my favorite blue...
I understand the sentiment (and am grateful to have my own brighter blue), but the perfection of the variegated blue-gray of the KSF's camel bone,
on this pattern, doth make me weak.
Her saying that her knife matches her new bag - which I think is a play on me and how match all my accoutrements.
Oh gosh, that makes me laugh.
Great little knives. This version reminds me of the 85 EO's in that I never use the nail nick/pull. I think the EZ's would look good without pulls, or at least it would be a different combo for GEC.....
As you've now seen, GEC
has made the #25 sheepsfoot blades without nail nicks before. Here's another (non-Prototype Tidioute) from earlier in this thread:
GEC also made a Bulldog-branded version with the same nick-less blade:
Anyone using the pulls/nicks with these EO's?
Not I! From this angle, you can more clearly see my "finger patina," the barer area near the end where I grasp the blade within the EO notch to open it, rotating it once I have it moving:
Gotta love the little 25. My favorite GEC pattern.
It was a real kick seeing your own #25 "Apple Jack" (an Appaloosa Jack) at GEC's Rendezvous, the first other #25 I've seen 'in the wild'-- and a clearly used one, at that. Perfect!
This particular #25's blade combination, shield, and overall presentation make it a Best of Best®, of this pattern or others (middle knife below):
Gots a red linen EZO on order.
There ya go.
