...Looking at Nifebrite`s photo of the work he has done to age his Burnt Orange LJ i was tempted, but i just gave mine a stern buffing on the polishing wheel to be going on with, perhaps when it has a bit more pocket time i may take a file and sandpaper to it....
The #25 LJ is truely a great little knife.
Just be very careful with sanding (or even filing) down the jigging, on my latest trial two of the rivets became loose!
(See my thread "handle scales on traditional knives"). Nevertheless, glad you like it, thanks!

I just used 000 steel wool on my burnt orange, and though it took a whale of a lot of sanding, it came out beautiful....and all pins intact. BTW, did my green glass viper the same, and it really brought out the green....much much greener (and prettier).

Thank for the heads up, also Thanks Relee1 for the alternate idea, food for thought but at the moment i am probably going to leave as is.
I was interested to see Bob`s EZ on his spearpoint, how was it done, drill, Dremel ? Good job however it was done.

This is a top-shelf thread, if I do say so myself. ;)

I don't know what I enjoy more, seeing so many recent-run #25s being enjoyed (and rightly so-- the cover options on these newest knives are stellar across the board), or the investigative esoterica on the older, oldest of these foreshortened beauties. I love it all.

Thanks, everyone, for taking the time to share your #25s here.

I couldn't agree more! This has become my favourite thread without a doubt. Here's an extract from a PM I shared with Tim in response to his research which I think sums it up for me;

I love these 25s, there are so many variations that there's quite enough for someone like me to keep happily collecting for years.

I use a drill press for my work, but a Dremel will get the job done.

Thanks for the tip.

A drill press makes more sense. I do have friends who have drill presses who would let me borrow some shop time.
I will research in other threads, but if you want to expand on your method, please do. Your finished 25 looks perfect. Like it came out of the tube...

Hope your feeling well
Best wishes

I really like these little guys, so I have a few. Unfortunately I like many of the other GEC patterns as well, the 79s, 54s etc etc, makes it difficult to concentrate on just one.

Nevertheless, incredible collection Wolfe considering your recent foray into traditionals as well~

I keep coming back to look at this picture. How wonderful, in selection, composition, clarity, and light.

So very well done! Thank you for posting it here.

... Wow.

Wolfe, that little jack in stag is amazing!!!
Is It spear main/clip secondary?
and a little off topic, the 62 pearl on top is the whittler?? I can't find it in GEC releases.
thanks

Yes, the the main on the little jack is a spear, the secondary a clip.
The pearl 62s are whittler and half whittler, both produced in 2015. 7 were produced of one, 4 of the other I believe.
