GEC 25s - Gots 'em?

Here's one of my 25s mated to a tiny Puukko in Birch/Reindeer antler.

I notice on the last run of 25s, or my Che Chen Northfield at least, has a different style of Spear, different swedge (swage??) and Longpull.

Oh man Will you're not kidding about tiny! That puukko might be the smallest one I've seen!

Nifebrite, how did you get that burnt orange tidioute to look like that? Amazing!

Thank You.
It's done with a little filing and sanding work.
There are pictures of the process shown in the thread "Handle scales on traditional knives".

My first and only (so far).

A beauty! Big fan of the early ones.

I came across this beauty thanks to a forum member here. The tube had been miss placed so I'm looking for clarification; I asked Chris at GEC but have yet to receive a response.

This is part of my email to GEC;

"Scouring your production schedules I note the famous banana peel quintet from '08;

Banana Peel Sheffield Jig 10 pcs. ser
Banana Peel Herringbone Jig 4 pcs. ser
Banana Peel Rodgers Jig 3 pcs. ser
Banana Peel Single Wave Jig 7 pcs. ser
Banana Peel Jig Bone 11 pcs. ser

Are you able to clarify which it is? I believe it's probably the last seeing as it's serialised #05 however, had I looked without noticing its number I would have said it looked more like the Rodgers jigging..."

Any thoughts guys?

Paul

Hm I can't help on this front but a bump for this thread to ask anyone who can~

edit::

After some research I found an ebay listing for all four bone jigging styles
If the tubes were arranged in order of the knives..you've got "Peel Jigged Bone", couldn't be Rodgers jigging just due to serial numbers. Beautiful knife Paul :)

1. Peel Herringbone 2. Peel Jigged Bone 3. Peel Single Wave 4. Peel Sheffield

I've been wanting one for a while now. You've taken very good care of it too. Thank you for helping me advance my collection.

Haha before that it came from me. The horsecut bone is wonderful as Pertinux so enjoys.
~great signature line too~

This is a top-shelf thread, if I do say so myself. ;)

I don't know what I enjoy more, seeing so many recent-run #25s being enjoyed (and rightly so-- the cover options on these newest knives are stellar across the board), or the investigative esoterica on the older, oldest of these foreshortened beauties. I love it all.

Thanks, everyone, for taking the time to share your #25s here.

Meanwhile, my own latest-run #25 continues to hold sway, no matter what the company:

Does anyone know if the sfos that Barry just had made can be pinched open without the EO?

My long awaited Tidioute #25 LJ Spearpoint in Burnt Orange arrived at the postal depot today but in order to collect it i had to pay a $25 ransom disguised as VAT and handling, ah the joy of importing a knife from the USA, but it is such a great little knife that it is worth it to me. Looking at Nifebrite`s photo of the work he has done to age his Burnt Orange LJ i was tempted, but i just gave mine a stern buffing on the polishing wheel to be going on with, perhaps when it has a bit more pocket time i may take a file and sandpaper to it. I am still waiting on my next door neighbour to come round and show me how to post pictures with this new fangled machine ( i miss my old Dell ) but until then i shall just enjoy my new #25 and take pictures for later posting.
