GEC 25s - Gots 'em?

Beautiful pictures from everybody. This has always been one of the threads I treasure the most ; some of you may recall that I have a particular fondness for this pattern.

I was, I must admit, a little disappointed with the news that Mr Howard will no longer pin shields on their stag covers. Although I'm not a stag aficionado, I do enjoy it greatly and I specifically liked that the natural, genuine and burned varietals catered for enthusiasts who covet stag with or without shields on their pocket knives.

For example, I've picked a shielded 25 that I think has quite beautiful burnt stag covers. Note that it has the UN-X-LD shield that many do not enjoy - I do.

You can see from an offset angle (please excuse my photography) that the undulating surface provides a challenging slate for the cutler. As many have commented on, I think it takes a great deal of skill and effort, particularly for a production knife, to place a shield on a surface like this.

I do not at all mind that it's edges emerge from the valleys and retreat into the hills of horn. I think it's imperfection is most charming.

This is a great thread, full of awesome pictures of one of GEC's best patterns.
The #25 is one of my favorite back up knives, they have a ton of cut in them with only a little wight to contend with.

Here is my newest.

This knife was clipped into a new knife roll for me underneath the tree this year!!!

The little clip secondary is really a useful little guy, I'd like to see the same blade on a few other patters.

I've been using my Iphone for pictures as my camera has been missing some important pieces.

So great, to see some familiar "faces," and hear of #25s still loved. :)

What a great surprise! I agree about the 'swoopy clip secondary,' as has been noted throughout this thread.

Speaking of which, the green knife pictured below just caught my attention-- the first I've seen of the swoopy clip secondary paired with a clip main, instead of a spear main. At least, I think that's what I'm seeing...?

Has anyone else ever seen such?

Meanwhile, I continue to be amused at the 'finger pinch' patina developing at the front of my easy-open blue sheepsfoot, where my grimy little pinching fingers are evidently thwarting the patina elsewhere on the blade:

Hey guys, I'm getting hooked once again after an almost three year absence from the forum. Anyway I didn't remember having post in this thread before but actually I did http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/967564-GEC-25s-Gots-em?p=11481998#post11481998
I couldn't believe how much the knife changed since November 2012, so here is a before/after long term comparison

Very cool; thanks for the visual comparison.

Also, I'm almost afraid to ask, but shall: ... Tato?

First traditional folder for me, thanks to Mr. wtlj, the Tidioute #25 Little Jack EO Sheepsfoot, red linen micarta. Taught myself to sharpen last night, and turned this thing into the razor that it appears deserves to be.

Anyone else got love for the little jack?

Good start and Red Micarta is a tough yet attractive choice.

You might like to check the extensive 25 pattern thread too.

I have one in navy blue camel bone with the EO sheepsfoot blade and they sure are fun. It's my edc and I definitely do have love for the little jack☺
