GEC 68 Pony Jack 2021

My knife showed up! Great fit and finish! Darker covers than I wanted but it will darken up with use anyway. Main blade is a lil weak on close but I haven’t flushed it yet. Definitely not as snappy as the older production model I had. So glad to have another one of these in my collection! Sorry for the crappy indoor pics.

Such a good looking clip on this knife! Gonna try and land one of these, I like them more the more I look at ‘em.

Looks great to me. I’ve heard others mention the Cocobolo wood will darken over time. Is there anything that can be done to help preserve the original color of the wood?

I think it’s been discussed before on how to preserve it but I think it’s something you have to do a lot to keep it light. I like this one it’s like a caramel color. Really pretty in natural lighting.

The only answer, to give the old sweats a chance , is for GEC to declare a moratorium on sales to people to who did not own a GEC prior to 2016 😇

I'd certainly like a Stag White Owl or the Jigged Bone , but what I like and what will happen are very often poles apart these days 😄

Looking forward - voyeuristically - to the eventual pictures .

Hmmm, seems odd. If you are a regular customer, either your dealer has a big line ahead of you, or he doesn't get many. My source told me they did almost 900 of this run, which is considerable. It doesn't mean everyone will score one, but regular customers should be in good shape. I obviously don't know the situation of your dealer though.

Well my source said that they heard GEC was tired of mrknife mrknife deleting blades from their knives so they’re secretly blocking him from purchasing two-blade knives. 😉

Anyone remember what the previous run of these cost? I can't remember, but the price seemed higher. Or maybe I'm just remembering incorrectly.

Bill has become a very good sport about my blade deletes of late!!! He even made a rare closing joke about them on the last day of the rendezvous when he saw me leaving the store with 2 rendezvous 86s!
