Nice to see those patinas forming. I got plenty on my 2b micarta. This model seems to take on a patina a little more aggressive than most other 1095 models I carry. Maybe it's just the finish on my 77 blade.

I really like the two blade version better than the single. I have large hands and the thicker handle allows for a better and more comfortable hold of the knife. With that said, I do like the single blade version
for its smaller size in the pocket. I do like the size of the 77 better when compared to the 15.

i agree, the 77 fits better i certainly enjoy mine that came in today.

thats not to say i dont like the 15s, i do have a bunch of em. its just sometimes its nice to have a bigger knife

I've had 2 of the single blades and would like a 2 blade. Generally, the consensus around here is single blades are where it is at but I like a thicker knife to hold onto, feels better in hand IMO and I dont mind feeling the other blades, not like im hard using my slippy for an dhour to dress a deer or something!

My 77 dressed up like a kitchen knife for the potatoes and a steak knife for the main course tonight! Patina's coming along nicely on the main blade...

Thanks. I'm really taken aback by the gesture myself. She's usually just tolerated my knifely ways with a bemused smile. Proud to carry this one.
I can't really even imagine someone who would make such a gesture. You are, indeed, a lucky guy.

I posted this one earlier. The bone is really starting to take on some character.

It is really looking good Erik . I really like that knife.I got a single blade and can't bring myself to carry it every day like you do. Please keep us up to date on the patina.

those handles are gorgeous! having just got some in, i think i need more

Great pics of those superb 77s RobbW

Thanks mrknife and Stand Straight. I had fun photographing them, wiping them down with oil, then placing them back in tubes. I can't bring myself to use them yet, but maybe someday. The 2-blade Autumn Gold is especially nice. If I were Sarah the words "smitten" and "swoon" might come to mind. But I'm not, so I'll stick with "especially nice".

So what is this Oily Creek Bone that I got notification for? I'm not in, but I'm always curious to see what the new 77's are going to look like.

Not a medium parlow, a parts knife of 19 knives with a long-pull sheepsfoot blade. Shall be on the 77 frame with Oily Creek Bone covers.
