I truly love the spear copings. A favorite EDC. I’m looking forward to the clip copings.

One of the things I love about the spear coping is that for me it’s completely pinchable. Pinchability is subjective like pull weight, however. The distal end of the spear rides above the frame with enough surface area for a good purchase to pinch. The clips will ride in the well at this portion. If the coping blade peeks enough one could pinch the coping for access to the big clip if so desired.

All the covers in this run are looking great!

I got picked for a Micarta, but I don't think there are any ugly sisters in that family!!

The big question for me is how did the elderberry bone turn out, we have pictures, but we won't really know until we can see a larger section of finished knives. Seems to me that the darker ones that took the dye uniformly will me more desirable as the lighter blotchy ones seem to be really pink looking. Either way can't wait to give my money up and get the ball rolling, should be any day I'd estimate

I think that is kind of the way of camel bone, each run has such great variety in the hues and patterns. Personally, I would prefer the deeper hued Elderberry color as it appears to be a nice rich red, but I won't complain if I end up getting one that is lighter or less uniform. I think that it is kind of cool that each one will be different, it speaks to the individual character of each knife. Plus, if I get a lighter one and I really want a darker one, there might be someone out there who has different tastes and we can arrange a trade.

Waiting patiently for my sawcut and possibly and hopefully a canvas micarta!.....

The anticipation is brutal!.. I keep thinking maybe I missed the email from Mike lol.. I’m dying to see my Camel Bone. This will be my first 77 and it’s making me feel like I’m 10 years old waiting for Christmas morning.

I’ve started checking my junk emails to be sure I haven’t missed it. I think you only have a certain amount of time to respond but I’m not sure. I’m assuming people will post when they start getting their emails to purchase.

Mike has been pretty quiet about this, and I'll bet it's for good reason. Seems like we saw some mixed production going on, micarta knives next to bone knives, which we usually don't see. GEC may have changed their process a little, or the numbers might have been different than Mike expected, or he wants to check the product before hand to avoid customer disappointment issues. I actually have no idea, but my point is that I'll bet there's a good reason.

Am I the only one compulsively checking my spam folder? ;)

The Elderberry wasn't my first choice, and I figured I might try to trade it for an ironwood or sawcut, but I'm excited to see it. I might fall in love. :)

No, you aren't the only one:

I think someone had mentioned earlier in this thread that they thought the Elderberry could very well turn out to be the unexpected favorite of the bunch. I was expecting purple but it looks like we have shades of red instead, and that suits me just fine.
