Awesome knife, ranchman. Can we see the entire blade? :D

(Just paid for my single BW 77 spear!)

I agree Shaggy, the whole blade would be interesting .

Looks like developments on my single-Ivory Bone too, appreciate it a lot Brett:)

Thanks, Will

The spine of the blade and area exposed in the pocket is where it's the darkest - the spring especially, which is nearly black. Moisture from perspiration in the pocket of my jeans or cargo pants is what does it apparently. I live in the high desert, so humidity is low here generally (anywhere from 5% to 50% is average probably).

What you see is just from pocket and using it for typical things. I've not attempted to enhance or remove any patina.

Congrats on your 77 spear in AB. To say I love my sheepfoot 77 would be an understatement. It's never left my pocket since it came out of the tube at the Post Office in mid-February. I've let it age as it will and use it for everything.

I like how the edge of the bolster is still shiny enough to reflect the "made in usa". Obviously, that area never gets dirtied up in use and the nickel silver doesn't patina.

The Made in USA is not exposed when the knife is closed and in my pocket. Perspiration in the pocket is a major contributor to how dark the spine and part of the blade have become. The spring is virtually black.

Autumn gold on the way - I hope I can get a stag and red bone too to decide what I love the best.

Had a Red and an Ivory reserved but had to back out on the Ivory.
Unforseen expenses, I shouldn't have bought the red but I did.
