GEC #77 Medium Barlow Impressions

Sorry for the confusion. Mike is correct. I got my name on both single blades that I wanted. I just got off from work or I'd have responded earlier. I can't wait 'till they due come. All good things come to those who wait. I feel like a turd furgesen now. I'll be sure to choose words more carefully next time.

I got my old red and smooth ivory. I can't wait to patina up the ivory. It's gonna be a dressy black and white tuxedo/ classic touch work knife. I'm debating on putting an easy open groove on it. I'll have to see what it's like once in hand. I'm getting excited. Choombak I too can't wait to see the stags.

I admit that I misunderstood at forst, but upon second glance it was clear you hadn't recieved them yet.
Anyways, I really hope to get that email. I know I got in pretty late. This is my first experience with this process, so I don't want to get my hopes up.
I am just so glad the coping was chosen. I wish they used it on more 2 bladed jacks.

No need to feel badly, I may have read it too quickly (and been HOPING to find just such a report - so read it how I wanted it to say?lol). We're all anxiously awaiting this spectacular Barlow run :D

I think it's time to add a spear/pen...big thumbs up for Mike for putting his sfo 77's together! I am sure it is lots of work coordinating it all. I'd be pulling my hair out...if I had any:p

I love that sawcut red bone on the 77 - my two-blade spear/coping will be a major competitor against the beloved sheepfoot!

Well I was fond of the Smooth Autumn Gold on the single blade barlow. But these two blade versions are darker and more mellow. I don't think I have ever seen a bone I liked any better. But I might be partial.

I'm gonna agree with you there, Mike! WOW!! Glad I had a reserve for one of these beauties!

Mike that is absolutely drop dead gorgeous! It also happens to be exactly the style of knife I ordered! :triumphant: :triumphant:

I also just got the email and fired off a payment so one of those beauties now will have my name on it! :triumphant: :triumphant: :triumphant: :triumphant:

Life is Good! :D

Just paid for 2 blade micarta and already paid for single red. Just need the last email for single blade stag and were good.

I passed on the Autumn Gold because it seems to be the one that varies most in terms of color and darkness. This one that you've just shown, Mike, is PERFECT!!!!!

All 3 of my pretties (1 and 2 blade blackwood and a 1 blade Micarta) are paid and awaiting shipping day! Good stuff is coming!
Thanks,
Brian

Oh wow, that smooth autumn bone is just unreal. I wish I would have went for it. I think any choice with this run was a good choice. Thanks Mike for making all of these SFOs happen.
