GEC #77 Medium Barlow Impressions

Really really nice pictures Tim, glad you talked me into the 2B Micarta...maybe tomorrow it will be here. The lighting and background choices look like a pro photo shoot.

Thanks for the kind words Josh :) Haha yeah I'm glad I stuck with this one too. It's actually not as thick as some of my other two blades but it's got quite a bit of heft/beefy to it due to the all steel construction. Really nice solid weight in hand.

Thanks Mike for such a well organized delivery of the new 77, which really is upping the the game for GEC.
Got my two...the sawcut ( on the right) is truly blood-red on mine, even more so than the wharncliffe 77. Love the color!

My first Micarta knife (thanks Tim and Luc) and impressed on this canvas...so much so that I changed my Viper pre-order:).
Great walk and talk (7) , and yes very sharp.

That Autumn bone is a stunner! All of the covers have been very good.

Came home to find these at my door.

The Autumn bone it fantastic. The micarta handles are very grippy. A definite work knife.

I am totally stocked about my new GEC 77. Never owned an SFO before, but to me it appears that even GEC'S high quality factory run knives are exceeded in quality by the SFO's?! #Barlowpalooza! ! I am in debt to @pertinux who helped me get one of these!!;^D

Here is my new Smooth Autumn Gold Bone with an Old Red Sawcut Bone from the last round of 77 Barlows. The top picture gives you an idea of the depth that the handle shows in the sunlight.

If you have one, take your Smooth Autumn Gold Bone out in the late afternoon sun and be thoroughly impressed. WOW!! :triumphant:

Looks like someone captured a campfire and put it into a knife handle. :eagerness:

I'm aching for smooth autumn bone, but even so: these are possibly the best and possibly my favorite GEC knives, period.

those autumn bones are amazing...kicking myself for not picking one.

Still - I'm sure I'll be super happy with my Micarta's when they show up. Can't wait!

Nothing short of sensaaational! Hats off to Mike and GEC! Still not sure I can keep both single blades, but I'll sit on that decision for a while. :)

Just added the smoothbone to the barlow collection. Very nice Mike and GEC. The Smooth ivory bone has alot of depth that my picture abilities simply doesn't capture

Haha that's great Brandon. Must be a thick one though. Belt sheath included?
A tad bit thick in pocket. I 'd have to look for an old school leather flip phone belt holster!

I really like the depth of the smooth ivory bone. It's gonna be my user. This is my first time with it in hand, I love the smoothness. It reminds me of polished stag or some kind of marble or stone, it doesn't show well in pics.

All of the pics of smooth autumn two blades remind me of what I love about appaloosa bone. I wish I'd of snagged one, I'm very pleased with my two though.

Mike, job well done. I thank you for your hard work. They ALL look great, I love mine. I only wish I had the funds for them all. The dark autumn gold is an A+++, I'd love to see appaloosa bone or it in the future with some pinchable clip points or sheepies.

My mail was very late arriving, but the smooth autumn gold 2-blade finally arrived. It's brilliant! The darker covers are very rich.
