Mostly buying and selling with zero community spirit or honour.

I was told in no uncertain terms its the American way and other tosh,I think I was close to being called a Communist. 🤣 🤣 🤣

Yea same. I knew the chances were slim, but I was at least hoping to have a chance to see the Buy button 🤣 It just appeared as instantly unavailable which makes me wonder if they were all already accounted for or something. Then, I wasn't expecting another drop on a different site this afternoon, noticed my email 3 minutes after the notification went out, and of course everything was looong gone.

Seems like I won't be getting a Waynorth afterall, but happy for those that managed to score one. I'm certain I'll never be willing to pay what people are asking for it on the secondary market. Ever since my experience with the Sienna Bone Cody Scout, I've been leaning away from GEC anyway. I'll probably step away from GEC with a lone exception for my "dream stockman". I tend to like older vintage knives anyway.

i saw the prices, but they didnt look like they ever had any to begin with. some folks were saying they only put them up just to draw attention...

Well if that's the case I wouldn't be that upset about getting banned from a place like that. Good riddance!

I wasn't even gunning for a waynorth to be honest. I figured those would be gone in less than a half second. I thought that since so many knives were dropping at the same time I might have a chance at the marrow bone but no such luck. And sorry to hear about your bad experience. A lemon here or there wouldn't be an issue if they were easier to come by but considering the way things are, I don't blame you.

Hahah, no but thank you! I returned the Sienna Bone to the dealer for a full refund as a repair under warranty was essentially refused. I was worried I'd not get another, but got VERY lucky managing to land a chechen rosewood that I adore. Fit and finish is perfect. Couldn't be happier with that as I'd been wanting a lockback for years.

That sucks, I'm sorry you didn't manage to land a marrow bone. And yes lol the CC HJ's were gone before half a second even passed. The bad experience with GEC's policies is what it is. GEC still makes the best production knives in the world, as far as I'm concerned. And, 95% or more of the ones that leave the factory are just that; the best productions in the world.

That sucks, I'm sorry you didn't manage to land a marrow bone. And yes lol the CC HJ's were gone before half a second even passed. The bad experience with GEC's policies is what it is. These are what he had bear in mind import/postal charges.
I got a Che chen which I think looks the best,perhaps they didnt sell so quick because of our laws which also worry me at times.

Some people where OK, nice in fact.

It was the forum knife that did me in,selling at a profit is one thing but buying under false pretences to make a profit is another.

I shouldn't have said anything as they didnt care and I wasn't going to change minds,some where almost fanatical.



Any way I feel safe her just dont call me Ivan. 🤣 🤣 🤣

Would've enjoyed a Waynorth or a Marrow but realized a few days ago that too many folks are way too thirsty for them. Snagged a Bull Hide Carver while the dehydrated were distracted. Close enough for me - and Micarta covers make it an easy choice to use and carry.

PS - Facebook. Lol. That's still a thing? 🤣

PPS - If you want the scalper market to starve, don't feed them.
 
The waynorth riders are stunning! Great lines, especially with the awl out. The main clip blade is...ok. It may be a classic, but the exaggerated angle on the top swedge makes me think bunion.
 
Yay, managed to pick up a Bocote wood today in a drop. I really wanted the bone, but like others mentioned, it never seemed to come in stock at the appointed time.
That being said, I think I have unlocked the secret to getting in on these drops pretty reliably, as long as I am free at the time to buy.

Awesome! I was able to get a red HJ, but I think I may try to trade it for the yellow rose.
 
Swing and a miss today for me. I was like a deer in headlights trying to decide to go for fewer of Charlie’s or for one of the red micarta.
