I've been on the precipice a number of times, but have successfully been able to refocus my interest away from the more ego-driven arenas. In short, when they zig, I zag.
What saddens me somewhat is, as you've eloquently pointed out, it does harm to the community as a whole. I've said before that things seem to devolve in the following order: Interest to hobby, hobby to profession, profession to racket. The problem is, once it's seen as a racket, the reasonable and rational folks drop out of the hobby. Nobody wants to knowingly be fleeced.![]()
yup cause when those over paid try to get out, theyre also gonna want their money back usually and so the prices just keep climbing. so here we are
