The marrows seem like a really small run. I know some US dealers only got 3 as well. I hope you find one.Keep it up we aint complaining...
I found out only 3 marrow bone 86s arrived in the UK and they went quick.
I dont mind, I think the Gabon ebony is the pick of the bunch.![]()
I am usually savage at Fight Club but I was unable to score the marrow bone. I will be interested to see the production numbers when they are released. The marrows seem like a really small run. I know some US dealers only got 3 as well. I hope you find one.

I'm not on IG or FB, so I missed all the excitement.
The marrow bone is just sooo nice and we see it so seldom. I didn't really want to have to shell out for yet another killer 86 variant, but you make hay while the sun shines, as the saying goes.
The ebony on The Rider is so dense and black that you would almost swear it was delrin. Just freakin' top notch. Great, fun, run.
That guy got three great ones.i wonder if you saw the post in the fb group from the guy who managed to get three, i bet hes making a lot of new friends...
It used to be a "short run" of 100 knives wouldn't really be a short run at all! But now, those numbers are tiny.amen, I hate to see these knives scalped and people who grabbed extra to force trades for other stuff, but apparently thats the world we live in now. C'est la vie.

Fight Clubbers that have been fighting a long time will be too smart to trade Old Gold for the newer stuff which is produced in much greater quantities. (Tho still small numbers in the grand scheme of things)
Man I wanted one of these so bad and had the opportunity to buy an ebony rider but had to pass it up. Recently had to fork out a big sum for our dog at the vet and couldn't justify the cost of a knife after that.
I'll content myself with vicariously living through everyone else's photos!

Check out thread 1873 for those magnificent HJs. Charlie shows that they are different.I am told this is the same punch blade that was used on the GEC 98's. I also heard that the punch plades came from a third party. Many of my 98's have scale on the punch blades. I see very little scale on the 86 punch blades. I assume GEC polished it off (ot most of it). Maybe Charlie can comment on this? Thanks

Well said, John. One thing I learned early on here is that there will always be another knife to chase. Please dont contact me I have no influence or access to new 86s.
I am very sorry when I hear people couldn't get one, some seem to be good at it and get them all.
Though I have far more knives than I need I dont consider myself a collector as such, that is I dont see a model and think I have to get one of every variation.
Which is why I am getting a ebony Waynorth today and not the White one as well.
I was all set to pay for both they where there, but then thought I dont want to be greedy I will use the ebony so dont need the white one (only maybe as a spare).
I most certainly didnt want to become one of the people I hate that buy to sell/profit.
I cant wait I love using the traditional tools, though I can understand why people collect but its far more enjoyable if you use em for me at least.
Play your records, if they get scratched big deal
Ride your motorbike (some dont mileage effects value, mines on 83,000 miles)
Wear you watches enjoy them while you can
Remember when you go you cant ride into heaven on a motorbike, with the rocker by Thin Lizzy playing loud in the background and wearing an ugly gold Rolex.
Enjoy your possessions NOW.
I'm on my way hopefully ive got a few more years yet though.
