Gec bullnose

This one's really pleased me. Tough knives but nicely finished and excellent in the hand, a stellar combination

It's been a Bull Nose pocket take over here. I love the pattern initially I wasn't going to get one...Now I grabbed 4 from this run...[emoji15]

This was posted two pages back, it was in reference to someone that was looking to possibly acquire a canvas.
I would actually suggest the Denim.

It has a hand feel unlike any of the others. A bit more grippy, but almost suede like on the corners.
At least mine is. It is a Fantastic piece.

I can feel the the diagonal lines of the micarta Very Slightly if I run my fingernail down it. The flats are smooth (near soft, think worn in jeans glued to a marble countertop) to the touch, and the edges can be a bit fuzzy as the denim material wears and the proud fabric edges wear to the harder level of the resin.

I am thoroughly enjoying seeing how it is aging and gaining character already, and I am looking forward to seeing how it ages over its lifespan.

I have owned quite a few GEC Sodbusters (somewhere between 8-10), and this is the one I am proud to have in my pocket.
This is the traditional knife for me.

I just got a green linen yesterday, and call me crazy, but this edge is actually sharp. As in, it slices, and in some place on the blade, push cuts receipt paper - from GEC! I'm still going to sharpen it because I like to make my own edge, but this isn't what I'm used to from the factory. A nice surprise.

Crabcakes, maybe you'll indulge a question. Having never handled, or even seen in person, any micarta-clad folder, much less one of these denim ones, I'm hoping you can describe the feel of the handle. Other micartas I've seen photos of are obviously of a glossy finish. The burlap micarta looks like you wouldn't feel the burlap texture. But photos of the denim are inconclusive for me. Do you feel the texture of the denim in hand? From your photo, it looks as if you would.

Yes you do feel texture. It is very nice in hand and burnishes on the edges to a whitish blue a bit as you see. It is not rough or extremely grippy, it feels...well like a hardened pair of blue jeans. I have a red linen and it's also nice, but smooth to the hand.

Nice grouping. Looks like you're only missing the yellow pine cone & red corn cob versions.:thumbup:;)

 ohhhhnooo . I didn't even know they exist . Im new to GEC and started with a green linen that's my user I liked it and was able to score these .

Nice collection Miltmaldo! I finally had a chance to take a pic of the new ones and a group shot of all the covers that have been produced

A shot to show how the Natural Micarta will darken and smooth out with age compared to new and unused, a custom Snakewood bullnose thrown in for giggles.

Beautiful knives, Trev! That proto burlap takes the cake though, love the texture and the svelteness of the covers. Nice to see it found a deserving home:thumbup:

I completely agree about the proto burlap, love that handle. If it wasn't so rare it would be in my pocket right now. The minor imperfections are not that bad at all, imo.

Which one is your favorite Trev?

If they do a 47 in that blue denim, I'll have to get one.

Maybe it's the camera angle, but the burlap looks thinner than the other micartas. Is this the case?

Anyway, that snakewood custom is gorgeous.

As, I've mentioned on this forum in the past, they need to do a 47 hay n helper wrapped in canvas micarta. Or, even the single blade sheepfoot models. Denim too while they're at it. Given the popularity of both materials I'd think it'd be a home run for them.

Nothing wrong with delrin, & I own a few, but it's boring and uninteresting compared to the others....
