GEC Huckleberry Boy's Knife

If I hadn't spent so much money on knives already this month I'd order one up. I really like the looks of this one.

Just when you think it's safe, they make a barehead in cocobolo with a single clip blade :D

After receiving the TC Sawer that I purchased on the classifieds here the other day I knew I needed more. I had to order the 2 blade #15 with the natural scales. Can't wait for her to show up.

It won't be the last either. GEC has hit a grand slam with this pattern, especially the plain no etch versions. They look like they jumped out of the pages of a Cattaraugus catalog from the early 1900's.

I just got this one today. Its the two blade version in cocobolo wood. The fit and finish is excellent. This is my first jack knife. So far i don't think that I will miss the third blade to much. :D

Burnside; looks like your two blade ebony spear is a reality! Thanks Charlie!!!

I just got the word that there will be a few Boy's Knife's made in Antique Amber (or maybe Antique Yellow) in the usual blade configurations. :D:D:D They are also making some more in red bone; these won't be around long so be on the watch for 'em on dealer shelves in a couple days.

They are Antique Yellow! My mistake :( Guys 'n' gals, this is some sweet bone material.... Shades of Schrade !!!

I've spent way to much on knives lately. I just can't buy more right now, but a boys knife in cocobolo is very tempting.

I hope they'll be available later.

Ed didn't know if you had noticed but I was just noticing...looks like your 2 blade cocobolo is the exact knife GEC used for the stock photo of the knife...just thought that was kind of neat.
After seeing the yellow bone version I had to have one, but I think I might also need 2 blade cocobolo...uh oh

If they bring back walnut I would grab it quicker than a cold beer in a bushfire.

Man, you guys are killing me just when my budget is busted. I hope there is still a cocobolo clip two blade barehead available in a couple months...and maybe the same in ebony if they have one in true black ebony instead of the dark brown that they have used a lot of recently. Some good looking knives here!

Interestingly, when originally discussed the first-run Boys Knives (capped) had three pins showing, the first run bareheads had four.

The latest runs of capped Boys Knives have four pins showing.

Yep, I noticed and was thrilled that I got that particular one as I thought the cocobolo exceptional. Even the clip version has really nice wood; I think I was extremely lucky or Mike was extremely careful with his selection for my order. I'll take them either way.

I wasn't sure I'd like the clip point, but I was wrong

Here's my latest along with my grandpa's Case he carried for 70 years. I'm thrilled with this knife. I also own the first run Boy's Knife in ebony with the spear blade, but this clip version is the one that's going to be with me for a while. I don't think I have 70 years left in me, but I'm sure gonna try.

*note--pulls are much lighter on this version than my original run Huckleberry. Don't know if that is just my example, or indicative of this production, but for me it's a welcome change.
