No, my new 43 in Jigged Cherry Wood has developed a slight flat spot on the blade where it's apparently hitting the spring. I designated it a user right out of the tube, so I oiled it, opened and closed it a bunch of times, and allowed it to snap closed quite a few times. After I read the comments above, I saw the flat spot.

Well my second beaver tail arrived and it has not disappointed. Another first class example I couldn’t of hand picked one better and that goes for my last 3
I feel very fortunate and very happy
Great walk and talk dead nuts blade centering . Somebody pinch me I think I must be dreaming after such a rocky start im kind of in disbelief lol.
My only dilemma was I planned on selling my least favorite and I want to keep them all !! Now I can only hope my Micarta that’s on the way is as nice as these 3

That’s a bummer ! My first cherry has been a user also although carried everyday since getting it . It’s only seen light kitchen and envelope duty . But a heavy couch fondler user lol . So far so good
Was hoping a earlier post about only a handful of early frontier Bone should of had the problem would be more of the case . I think I will start guiding mine closed just to be safe even though I enjoy the nice snap all 3 of mine have .

I agree what a great pattern and mainly got it because I liked the looks and the Oregon theme being a Oregonian I had to have one . But now that I’ve got them in hand I like it even more

I had my eye on the natural canvas micarta and jumped on it right away.

I am very happy with the fit and finish, the size of the knife and the surprisingly light weight. Very nice. It will get used daily.

My 43 showed up today, as well as a 56 I bought on the exchange, both in natural canvas micarta. Here with their older brother. When the Mudbug was new, it was the same color as the 43 & 56.

Oh I like the red. I see the northfield has long cut swedge and nail nick instead of long pull. So I’ll prolly end up with a rust red over green bone.
