GEC Rendezvous and Picnic!

At the Rendezvous, Bill told me he had some parts left over, and did I want them added to my Sheepfoot order? I always say yes to that question, so imagine my surprise when ten Sheepfoot Barlows showed up with smooth bone handles! He ran out of the Ebony and Red sawcut handles, apparently!
He refused to tell my how he got the color. It looks like a stormy or cloudy sky, and they look very striking in person, but, like pearl, they photograph poorly.
I wish I had enough of them to send to the dealers, but there are so few, I have sent most of them to my oldest collectors who have near-complete collections. But I am giving one away!! Watch for the thread in the next couple of days!!

I am glad you are looking after the people who gave the full collections Charlie. That takes MASSIVE effort - one Task I was unable to do - so this makes me feel good.
Congrats on having those what one would consider rarer TC' s Charlie :cool:
 
Beautiful coloring on that Smooth Bone Charlie! Some people are going to be very proud to own one of those jewels! :D
 
Nice to see Eric's Jack again!! We have to get Eric to come to the Rendezvous next year!!
I think he lives close enough to drive!!

Had a rough start, thought I was goin to a REAL Rendezvous! The airlines didn't really mind the buckskins, beads, knife or Tomahawk, but they got their backs right up with the black powder!! :confused::D:D
So I decided to add a little color to these rendezvous pics!

I'll start with the knives my Friends gifted me. I THANK YOU ALL!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Last but certainly NOT least, this Schrade Cut Co. from my Good Friend from N. Dakota, Paul :D He said he saw the Mother of Toilet Seat and it reminded him of ME!!!o_Oo_O:confused:;)
Needless to say I was FLOORED by all these gifts!! Thank You ALL again!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

The second day started out like it was gonna be a Kar-Bar day, but as it turned out it was more of a Barlow day!:D:D

This Stag Swing-guard I bought from Tom, the same Tom that Duncan got his Case Stag Hunter from. Just couldn't resist!! But I CAN stop anytime........:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I was talking to Augie right after Charlie had gifted me that Case Tested, I told him I NEEDED to find a Kar-Bar Barlow in Stag some day. Well wouldn't ya know it he just so happened to have a extra!!!! After some groveling, :( John broke down and gave me one h@ll of a deal on this Beauty!!:cool::cool::cool: Thank You Augie!! :thumbsup::thumbsup:IMG_2223.JPG

Hahahaha!! HOW could I forget Jack!!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
You see you had to get to Great Eastern prrreetty dang early to get a Rendezvous Special knife. So there was no time for breakfast, bout 9:00am GEC brought out the rolling hot dog machine just like they have at the gas stations, NOBODY wanted to leave the 1st day, we were just having to much fun!! :cool::cool::cool: Long story short, A bunch of us had hot dogs for 5 meals straight!!! By Supper time the second day I couldn't even LOOK at another hot dog!!!!!:eek::eek:o_O AHhhhh the Good Times!!:D

after hot dog number seven, needed heavy roughage at dinner :eek::D:D luckily i believe that night was the fudge sundae ice cream desert at dinner
