My knifemakers challenge knife at Ethans. (I think) I'm not sure if I'm happy with it or not. Something just doesn't sit well with me. Whadda you guys think?

Slick, I like the color combo it has a nice muted appeal to it. The sheath though is too damn shiny makes it look plasticy next to the knife.

I wish blade would come and go so you can make me something. My world needs an M18 and Yuma combo in it for mass destruction.

If you really don't like it, I'll take it off your hands.

I'll even pay shipping . . .

:D

Awesome, that's what I think! The more of these that pop up, the more I wish I could be at the gathering. How about a pass around for those that can't attend? ;)

You make a great point on the sheath. I've just started making my own sheaths the last couple of years so its still a learning process. Id love to pick your brain sometime. I love your work.

That is freakin awesome Tyson! And YESS, blade needs to hurry so I can place an order ;)

Thanks guys. Really I don't know what I'm gonna do with it. If something bugs me about it I don't know if I feel right about putting it in the knifemakers challenge. A lot of fine craftsmen are participating. I don't wanna enter something that doesn't set right with me. I just can't put my finger on what I don't like though. Oh well I figure it out.

As far as Blade coming and going. I ready for it to be over with too. I'm sure I'll have a great time and all, but stopping orders and producing stock is not fun. Being a part time maker, when I take to fun out of it. It sucks.

I agree with sky, I like the color combo and think it actually goes great together I also think the sheath is to shiny, maybe take some alcohol to it or something... Todd not sure what you don't like but I like it all, except the shine... I think its a great design and appears to fit well in the hand...

ETA: also my humble friend you are one of the greats that's entered !!!! hands down...

That's a powerful-looking blade, Todd. I'll be proud to finish second to that one. ;)
I agree about the green being not quite my taste, but someone will plotz over it. Green is in, and there are so many shades.
Your signature slanty full flat grind on that blade is gonna be perfect for the challenge.

Todd, this is what I've noticed, with your larger knives you do that style handle where it comes to the point right in front of the pommel, for your smaller ones you usually don't, I think that is what is throwing you off. If you look at it with a rounded rear swell see how you like that.

Personally, I love it. The colors are nice, even though that green isn't my most favorite, I'd still love it.

Come on, now. Obviously I'm a TM fan but Damn.. think positive and all that. Bring your best, make Mr. Hunt earn it!

Wowza, i really like the looks of that knife! nice work there mr todd.

If i may; i think i'd prefer the glassbreaker/butt/whatever ya call it, to just be even with the scales and not protrude (just on THIS particular knife). I think it would make the knife look just a bit cleaner and really smooth.
