Sway back jack is my first choice. Barlow would be second. I'd like to see D2 or ATS-34 (or other premium steel). I think Charlie (Waynorth) is a great contributor to this sub forum and I'd happily chip in for his knife.

I voted for "Barlow", but swayback jack is just as good. I'm in for whatever it is this year. Ebony scales would be perfect.

I'm going to submit an addional pattern to make things interesting (or more confusing?:D) It's a swell center jack, new pattern coming out by Canal Street. Has a pill buster endcap based on an old Schrade pattern. I'm just a sucker for new patterns I guess. It'll be available in 440C or D-2, but I'll opt for D-2. This image (not too clear:grumpy:) is from their brochure, as the knife hasn't been released yet, but I can drop by the plant and snap a picture of the actual knife if anyone's interested. One thing's for sure, I'm in no matter what. Thanks for taking it on Gus!!

I voted Barlow but any of them in non stainless would be just fine for me

That CS swell center in D2 would be an excellent back up plan if we can't get a swayback.

I vote barlow but I will take whichever the choice is I also prefer carbon steel regardless of style.. This will be my first time getting a forums knife, cant wait. and very happy to commit.- - Joel

The CSC Swell center Jack above is definately my choice! Although whatever the final pattern chosen is OK with me.

Swayback would be my first choice. I will be in for anything the group goes for though. Scale choice would be antique, or some similar bone. Blade steel would be CV or alternativly D2, CPM154, S30V in that order.

ea42 Thanks for bringing that pattern forward. I really like Coke Bottles and that size at 3 7/8" would be great. Canal Street have absolutely ruined that clip blade with the length of the long pull. I like long pulls but the placement of this one is all wrong to me and the blade also needs a swedge. If that's the final blade they are going with I wouldn't buy one at all...

I voted for a Serpentine Jack, 3 1/2", 1095 would be cool, with long pulls, and the second blade being a carpenters. You could probably get a lot done with a pocket knife like that.
Thank you.

Sway back jack, or that CSC swell center jack (I really like that look).

What kind of price range are we talking about for this knife? just curious

D.Parker, I'll stop by there next week and ask a bout it, the pull does extend too far into the clip for sure. I'll see if I can snap a few pictures as well.

I am going to vote Barlow with carbon clip point main blade. Handle material should be sawcut bone or bone with another jigging pattern.

I voted the swayback Jack myself, but I do like that "swell center Jack", too. As for steel, I'd like to see D2 myself, but if SS is chosen, I think it should be at least 440C.

If the Barlow is chosen, I'm in depending on the size (I prefer under 4" slippies myself).

Barlow in stainless would be my 1st choice but I would be very happy with a swayback..........:)
Whatever the final decision I am definitely in.

I voted Barlow,

2 Blade Spear with swedge for the main and sheepsfoot for a smaller blade, 1095 for steel, bone or Micarta scales.

I'd like a Swayback but not by Case.

I'm in like before so put a +1 by my name no matter what we pick.
