I love the traditional styling and heritage of the knife. My father was in the Navy and he kept his bayonet - I've always admired it. I'm sure if I asked my mother if I could have it, she would let me, but I think it means too much to her - and even if she did give it to me I'd never want to do anything to/with it in fear of messing it up. The KaBar SI isn't the same knife, but it is of the same nature - proudly American. And also as Munky said earlier about the 110, this knife shouldn't be pristine and nice when acquired, it needs to be beat up and dirty - have some character
And my last final exam and term paper of my undergraduate career is tomorrow, so this would also be a pretty neat graduation gift
