Goncz Titanium Knife / Flashlights

I wonder what forum Goncz is trying to drum up business on now?

Do you think he really engineered those lights or he just bought them closeout from a failed business?

Honestly I don't think they're engineered. More like cobbled together. NiMH batteries are great for long runtime. But can't put out the Ah like Nicads. NiMHs are a poor choice for the high output bulbs he matched them with. That's why real flashlight companies with real engineers stick with Nicads for high draw bulbs.

Things may have changed since I last experimented with NiMHs. But when I tried them with a Carley Lamps Krypton Star #618 they fell flat on their face. The bulb was dim. I put Nicads back in and it was super bright again. Tried the NiMHs with a regular bulb and it worked just fine.

To be fair I used AA's. Maybe 1/2 D's can keep up with high output bulbs. But the wattage he has advertised in his rechargeables is tremendous. Spotlight manufacturers use SLA batteries to feed such output.

Well,

The word I got was he was trying to sell the business and remaining inventory to the next sucker that came along. He tried to sell to a police supply company and after they did a web search and found this site, NO SALE!!

As far as I am concerned, it's good riddence to bad rubbish. Goncz was trying to hard from the start and his inability to tell the truth and keep up with his promisies caught up with him.

Who says a well informed public is dangerous?

I've emailed Goncz a couple times, and have gotten no response.

I look at this M-3 every day, and think that he could have had a good thing going, but as the story goes...............

John, if you are reading this, please email me soon.

If anyone has a lead on where I can get a couple xenon bulbs for this M-3, please email me with the info. Carley still states they want a minumum $50 order, and I'm not going to do that.

Code 3,

you might check out CPF - there had been some group buys lately and quite some guys doing trials on 3 123 bulbs from Carley and WA - seems the favorite is the WA 1315 though - you might be able to hook up to some bulbs there.

Welcome back we missed you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome back John!!! My M3 is still going strong and unbelievably still on its first set of batteries

To bring this thread back to it's roots, if that's possible.

It seems to me if there are no outstanding issues, Goncz should upgrade from a basic member so he can contribute.

Or if there are still outstanding issues, he should be banned. (Get those lab results back yet?)

I realize "moderating" has some give and take, but I recall the whole point was to either let him resolve the issues or be banned.

Good question about what kind of member John is.
I've been wondering myself that very same thing...

I for one one am still waiting for a M5 rechargeable light. ;)
And there are more issues to be resolved by mr. Goncz...

His shouting about "Blechtromler" and other things should not relieve him from his prior promisses, to solve outstanding problems and start fresh again...

It still strikes me as amazing to see mr Goncz being able to post...
His previous actions have charactarized him adequately as a fraud, yet members like TBG seem to be in favour of him?

Bernhards M3 I got also still lacks the replacement for the melted plastic lense (while borofloat was advertised and paid for) and the paid for spare bulb. So far as to still open issues and paid for and not deliverd or sub-par delivered products. I also wonder how one can use the Carley PR to Bi-pin adapter spec´ed for 1A by Carley and run 2.5A through it

I also told him that if he wants to do any business with me, he will get any outstanding product issues resolved this week. That means if you are missing a charger, light, etc, you need to contact him ASAP and make sure he knows you are owed product, etc.

That was way back on page 1.

Since it seems outstanding issues have not been resolved, I must ask. WHy is this person not banned yet?

So who exactly is owed money and / or product from Goncz at this point? We've got a 300+ reply thread here with tons of attacks, but no concise list. Have the people owed money / product made themselves known through phone / fax / whatever? (I don't trust emails).

Past that, if he doesn't make good I heartily encourage people to contact their state Attorney General, and the California Attorney General and the USPS inspectors and begin intiating "fraud by wire" charges against him. Fraud is a criminal offense after all.

My guess would be that Jason is just happy with things as they have related to him. He got an M3 and is happy with it. I have never seen him stating that he thinks the way John does business or the way he has treated people is acceptable, only that he is happy with the flashlight that he got from Goncz.

Kevin,

Bernhard from Germany finally got his paid-for M3 after your gesture at Mr. Goncz and with the help of "Mr. Ted Bear"! The light which finally arrived had a plastic lense which melted away after a couple of minutes while the light was sold and paid for to have a superior borofloat glass lense. Also the paid for spare bulb was lacking.

After weeks and weeks of waiting for replacement parts to bring the light up to the advertised and sold spec from Mr. Goncz Bernhard finally pretty unhappy gave away his light for free to me - I did some more testing on it and posted it elsewhere here and on CPF.

Mr. Goncz again IMO only went half-way as the design of his lights do show too - potentially good ideas and no execution. He finally did sent the lights he owed while not exactly what he promissed in Barts case but at least what Bernhard paid for except the spare bulb for that matter and with a lesser and melting lens. For the other dutch/belgian guy who had to get his non-working charger replaced - the replacement unit still didn´t worked which Goncz flat-out denied as such would not be possible

So as far as I can tell all people related got at least something, nobody is happy which what they got though. My testing shows that some **minor** adjustments would probably make the lights much better but it is Mr. Goncz problem to not listen to anyone - not mine.

Another issue which still is up to some debate is Goncz overrated marketing hype in regards to 600-800 lumens for a three cell light which in reality easily gets outpaced by any Surefire 3 cells flashlight - even those rated at 105 lumen - and let alone the 200lumen SF bulb. Here again it shows that talk is cheap and the "testing" on a bench supply obviously has nothing to do with real-world usage of lithiums cells which under the measured 2.5A draw of the bulb used drop siginificantly in voltage resulting in the reported yellow beam and sub-par performance. Using a better fitting bulb would solve this issue quite easily but only claiming that a) its a fact b) its the manufacturers spec c) its tested by here Majesty G himself and d) everyone not obeying is f****ing his mother anyway won´t really solve the product problems .... and the forum is still waiting for lab results or naming of the lab the "independent" testing was done.

Overall it was quite sad that the soap-opera was stalling for a while and it seems we are probably back on track :D

If you don´t mind the wasted electrons / bandwith I think a lot of regular readers of this thread will be able to again enjoy this (need to come up with a funny name - maybe the "for-com" for the forum version of a sit-com ?) - so my vote goes for NOT banning the guy - at least we can get some **giggles for free**

At the beginning of all this Spark was considering adding Goncz flashlights to those sold at 1SKS -- that's what "I also told him that if he wants to do any business with me ..." refers to.

Mr. Goncz is not advertising on Bladeforums (unless you consider this thread advertising ... I don't). My thinking is it's advantageous to everybody contemplating buying a Goncz flashlight or doing business with Mr. Goncz in any way to be able to see Mr. Goncz's replies to posts about him and his flashlights. That makes it clear to everyone just what the situation is. If he were banned from posting people might wonder what his reply would be to a post, especially new people coming along. If he were advertising in the Exchange forums here the situation would be different, of course.

Thanks Guys for welcoming me.

I just replied to klaus posting, which clearly indicates that the guys IQ = his age, he can not difirentiate Spring Steel from Aluminum Alloy so is not worth to repeat it again and ex-comy agent, Americans basher is a "UNDER EDUCATED VORGARTENZWERG"...

As to the M-2 to Code -3 there is a major modification and improvement and the new ones will be shipped soon. As to put a Carley bulb into the M-3 it will not fit, because the Carley light diameter is .300 inch, wherby ours is .290 inch. The reason is that there is only .003 space between the bulb and the reflector as the reflector opening serves also as guide to maintain the bulb in the center of the reflector to have a perfect light projection.

Now We are producing other special lights that soon we will post it.

Bad Boy just keep the light and we will send You also the M-2 and M-5 Comet for you to play with it...

Watch the promotion campaign in TV, Print Media, Radio, Talk Shows etc.

Thanks and until next,
