gravelface aka jason

The rest of the banter toward VTW and anyone else who's made that point is very clear. Mob rules, and Esav you prod like the rest. Glad you all think so highly of yourselves.

As long as you understand we don't think so highly of you, it's none of your business what we think of ourselves, or each other.

You carefully ignore Jason's own admission that he should not have taken so long, not even counting his other distractions. You twist my contention that VTW would be doing himself a favor by ending this a clear statement that it's over.

Your one-liners will not be seen as anything but trolling.

At the very least I was simply sticking up for what I saw as a faux pas in Jason's case. 7-months with someone else's property will always stand out as a long time in my mind. Perhaps my tact was flawed in not understanding the circumstance around his condition, and I've already admitted that. Otherwise, my points stand.

Clear communication, that is what I stand for, what I demand, and what is right.

Thanks for letting us know how Jason screwed up....we know that, he knows that, VTW knows that, his family probably knows that...

What we DON'T know is what VTW's issues are, how the USPS MAY have screwed up, and how Congressional approval of mucho moneda will help the little guy.

VTW has the answers to the first two...and no one else does.

MOST stuff that I do on this board is intended to further a sense of community and unity...how about you?

Best Regards,

That's where we differ... You think you're owed an answer. I don't.

He started this....he made it public....what you think on the grand scheme of things matters to YOU.....what I care about matters to US...that is the frikkin difference NEWB!

If VTW is going to leave the impression that he was sent the wrong knives, then as far as I am concerned he does owe it everyone to explain what he means by that. He shouldn't just post something like that and just leave it at that. That is totally unfair to Jason. It gives the impression that Jason has somehow screwed VTW over.

People who don't "owe" it to the group to complete a discussion they began soon find the group doesn't owe it to them to pay attention to their next problem or question. We had a lot of people join in here because that's how this place is. You don't have to like it, but if you're not part of the pack, you don't get to share the prey.

imho both people involved coulda handled it better, but he did get his knives back, and jason said he was sorry, imho the person who posts a complaint should also post if its resolved or not, thats just a common courtesy imho, if ya start something see it thru till the end, thats how i do it anyway, sometimes to the bitter end lol.

FWIW i have had delivery signature confirmation stuff dropped off by USPS and other people have signed (ie my wife & son) and have also had it left on my doorstep with nothing more than a quick knock/ring of the door bell, on more than one occasion, which was suprising to me, but it has happened, i live in a pretty good 'hood so i dont worry much about theft, but still, ya would think they wouldnt do that.

my mom sends me steaks from kansas city steaks every month or 2 thru UPS and its supposed to be signed for, and again, they usually knock or ring the bell andf boogie, i came home this PM and a box of them was sitting outside on my doorstep, again, ya wouldnt think they would do that..........but they do - glad i wasnt outta town or something they woulda gone bad lol.

As I understand it the package was not sent just "signature required." It was sent another way that is not as commonly used: "Jason paid specifically for Chris to be the only person allowed to sign for it."

That is how Jason explained it to me on the phone. He spent a considerable sum (IMO) to ensure that Chris had to sign for it specifically. I called Jason and left a message as to the direction this thread was going. I hope that he will post again soon.

I would really like to know what was meant by "though i maintain my issues with what knives were returned". Were you sent the wrong knives, or fewer than you thought you should get?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't this gone something like this:
  • VTW complains Jason has $7,000.00 of his knives.
  • Jason replies "Give me the list of the $7k worth of knives you believe I have."
  • VTW waffles, then finally concedes he doesn't really know
  • Jason gives VTW a list of the knives he believes he received from VTW
  • VTW replies "I sent you 27 lbs of knives!"
  • Jason responds "Uh, no, it was 11 lbs. Here' s the box."
  • VTW follows-up with "Well, I ship a lot of stuff... you could be right. Sorry."
  • Jason again asks for a list
  • VTW waffles some more.
Obviously, VTW doesn't really know what knives he sent Jason. He is completely reliant on Jason's integrity. That may be a safe bet, in this case, but it is certainly no way to run a business.

VTW: Please allow me to introduce you to the concept of a packing list.

i received the knives that jason did send to me, my office manager signed for them so the point is mute, however there is a reason i asked for fed ex delivery.... i have no desire to sit here and go back and forth with folks that are so easily swayed and fooled

Dude.....

You are not disputing the delivery of the knives.....FINALLY...you state that your "office manager"(is this solely an employee, or a family member?)

But you are not giving up a lot of information, and are throwing out epithets towards those assembled.

Why not put up as much of the whole story as possible, like did you get everything that you were supposed to, and did Jason do right by you in getting your stuff back to you?

Stop with the drama, already, if you are in the right, than you will have restored your reputation....really, you have all the power here.

VTW is not giving us the whole story because to do so would reveal that he has been a clown from the beginning, motivated more by selfishness and the need for attention than by actually getting his knives back and resolving this matter to his and Jason's satisfaction. The truth will never be told by VTW because he thinks that his silence is the path to redemption in the eyes of some here. With unanswered questions, some may eventually give him the benefit of the doubt, and that may be all he wants at this point.

since an office manager signed for the knives i am assuming they were sent to a business address?. if Jason wishes to complain to the USPS about the mix up on the restricted delivery he probably won't get very far. as a mail carrier i see this happen quite frequently with businesses where a certified letter with restricted delivery gets signed for by an authorized agent.

i do hope Jason is able to get refunded though as i'm sure he spent a forune sending them red mail.

So what is the reason you wanted Fed EX?? I have no dog in this but the shipping question does make me wonder.

Jason aka Gravelface, in the business I've done with him, has gone out of his way to do the right thing and shown integrity in excessive amounts. It's unfortunate that his circumstances ended up with 14 page thread in TGBU but I wouldn't hesitate to do business with him again. He's conducted himself in an honest and upright manner through the ordeal; some other participants have shown their varying degrees of moral fiber also.

Gravelface aka Jason is GTG in my book.

i would, i think he was just getting concerned about his stuff and let his emotions take over, i've been guilty of that.

like i said they both coulda done a little better on this and it wouldnt have been an issue, one needs to communicate better and the other needs a little more patiance, but i wouldnt have a problem with either one.

am glad it all got worked out & all is well,

I thought VTW wasn't going to post here ever again after his childish behavior when he was given an infraction?

He once again shows us what a douchbag he really is.

Who would want to do busines with this drama queen anyway?

Certainly not me.
