There is a BIG difference between a couple days and several months. And besides that, why is Jason not responding (or whoever is using his account ) to this thread, or returning phone calls?

yeah all thats fine and dandy but he has not returned anyones phone calls, jerry was calling as well.

and this has been his method for seven months.... guyon, you sure are making alot of excuses for this behavior, he has been on here, he knows this thread is on..... yet he cant call anyone back, email them or defend his actions.....

I'm not excusing anyone's behavior.

Characterize it however you like, but I've mainly said that (a) Jason clearly has had some matters pushing him back that merit consideration, and (b) I think charges of theft are unreasonable given Jason's longstanding presence on these forums. People don't usually wake up one morning, do an about face, and start stealing knives.
 
i talked to his wife on text, he is getting out of hospital tommorrow, and i relayed the problem here, said he needs to contact VTW ....ASAP ... so he can fix this.. I really do believe in him,, he is a good dude.. but Sand bagged his sheath work ...then got a string of bad luck....... too proud to admit he bit off more than he could chew.. !! but he will MAN UP to this I know that...
 
Listen guys, I have had serious issues with a leg. After 54 surgeries and many bouts with Osteomyelitis I have finally gone longer than six Months without a Hospital visit.
During my surgeries I had FRIENDS and FAMILY take care of things for me. I had to ship an AR-15 to Florida, a handgun to the West Coast, and a Strider to Bladeart and managed, with help to get them shipped.
Jason must have friends and/or family that can help him out. He did not have brain surgery so he knows damn well whats going on.
There comes a time when injury and illness only becomes an excuse if you are in a Coma or dead.

***This is my opinion and it does NOT include criminal conduct on Jason's part but his concern only with Jason..............

If you want my address, just call me up....we can smooth this out and you can have my address. I didn't flip out when I sent you a 1k camera and didn't get payment for it for a few weeks. You should know I will take care of your blades. I have responded to every email you sent minus the last 2 weeks while I have been in the hospital.

Chris, that is when my leg began giving me trouble.....I missed a day due to work and then I was hospitalized.

When you first sent them....you said no rush...I understand that there is a time limit there still, but I responded to every email and in your email about calling you.....you neglected to include your number.

You and I both know it is NO WHERE NEAR 7k worth of knives.

I did not complain when you had my camera and I had no form of payment for it for weeks. To me, no rush is just that. There was no urgency until just a few weeks ago and I was hospitalized at that point. I am getting your knives out to you, overnighted.

I asked you to cal me repeatedly also...giving my number. Here it is again. 985-215-2269

In all this, being accused of stealing is the worst part. From folks that I have not had long dealings with is one thing, but from folks I consider online friends hurts. You know I would NEVER even THINK about keeping your knives.

I don't have a dog in this race but I bet I'm not the only one who remembers VTW getting all spastic in the past. Now that you've posted with some further info things sure do seem a lot more clear and I don't think your rep will take much of a hit. At the same time, I can understand his frustration; I think everyone can.

Just a suggestion if you haven't thought of it already. Maybe you should contact everyone you are doing sheaths for, or are in the middle of a deal with, and make certain that they know the crap you've been dealing with lately and that you might not be able to respond right away for a while longer yet.


I hope your leg heals up right this time. :thumbup:

+1. There was a dramatic storm off of Bladeforums at one point last year. I was surprised to see Chris posting back at BFC actually.

Like I said in another post, there's always more than one perspective on a matter.
 
I would understand his frustration more if it WERE near 7k worth, and for months.....silence...then in the last 2 weeks it has blown up?!!
 
Jason, you really need to accept responsiability here it is no ones fault but yours no matter what the exact $$$$$ amounts are. very bad business has been conducted by you. trying to blame others when you are at fault will not work at all. I hope you can come to your senses and admit you are wrong and then make ammends to who you owe them to.
 
I have done business with Jason and he is a good guy. :thumbup: He'll pull through, he is a trust able HOG who has had some tough times.
 
Chris,

If you don't feel comfortable calling me, just list the 7 thousand worth of knives here. I want to make sure you get them all back and there is no mix up and none left behind.

Like I said before....this page is open at all times on my computer at home, so it may seem like I am on. And as far as not returning calls today......I am sorry, I was in the HOSPITAL on IV meds for the last 72 hours! Phone calls were the least of my concerns.
 
Jason has apologized to me, in regard to the complaint I described in post 29. I think he is truly contrite, and I accept his apology. Things are fine between him and me, now.
