Great eastern cutlery 25 beerlow

I personally don't have enough pants pockets to carry something just for fun.

Why is that? Some justification would be appreciated, because it doesn't really makes sense.

I have several knives in my personal collection. Many of them I have never taken the "new" off. We all have different opinions / plans with knives, and that is the great thing about them.

As to the second quote - you left off the cute little ;) emoji. It was humor - that is my justification. I thought it was funny as there have been many thousands of spear #25's produced - buy maybe the flu has affected my sense of humor.

The word is the old spear blade on 25s is not very good.
Meaning they were uncomfortable to cut with? Or steel wasn't too good or thick enough and they were snapping?

Nah, it's just me, sorry.

pay attention the next time you peel an apple or a potato with your hand and a knife, you will quickly notice that it is mainly the rear part of the knife blade that comes into contact with the skin
Hmmm. I don’t peel apples, and I use a peeler when I peel potatoes. I normally slice, using a 3” - 4” kitchen knife, or a GEC #15 (as in my avatar). I have been known to slice apples with the pen blade on my Dad’s Case Peanut, just because I wanted to. ;)

This has been an interesting one to say the least ha!
I actually wasn’t really a fan of the 25 I had long ago, a burlap spear I believe. But, out of all the recent “gimmicky” knives GEC has brought forth, this is the one that actually appeals to me. I usually carry a couple knives either way so just having this one as a small, fun knife is fine by me so I’ll try and nab one.

I like my 25. It's a nice pocket friendly little knife, but still has a useful blade. I'm not at all interested in this new one though.

Do you have a current picture? Would love to see the patina...

I’m interested in getting one of these, and I’m thinking with the lack of interest from the forum they might be on the shelf for minutes instead of seconds… we’ll see!

My memory is not what it once was; but I don't recall more emails / phone calls from people (both known and unknown) wanting on a list for this knife. So my suspicion is there is a lot of sand-bagging going on in social media or the non-online crowd really likes the knife. Similar to the last couple knives nobody was interested in. On the other hand, everyone was excited about the 47/74's and they are the first in a while that actually made it to a general website drop for me. So, unless something changes, expressed interest on BF is a contra-indicator. Not meaning to counter anybody or step on any toes - just reporting a different view.
