Very much so. I think it's a crazy good buy. It's the Buck Ascend LT (715). WallyWorld special ed by Buck. You can see a thread on it over in the Buck sub-forum. For $30, it's every bit as good if not better than my Rat2. The back lock feels sturdier. No blade play. It's also slimmer. One handed opening is tough but doable. I understand the 420HC is considered pedestrian by many but it's good solid steel and Buck's heat treat is known to be great.
Size wise, it's between the Rat1 and Rat2 (my other "budget" EDC's - which I now understand makes me cheap :thumbdn.
Here's a couple of other pics. Notice I placed a touch of duct tape on the top of the hole to make one handed opening a little gentler on the thumb.
Thanks for the quick reply, hopefully its still there when I wake up (I work nights). I really do not mind having several "cheap" well made knives around, I like having a variety for different tasks and not worrying about losing or damaging one. The only knives I pay more than 250$ for are war relics. To each their own
