Great Movie Knives

Negative. It has the stacked leather handles iirc, therefore isn't a 'tech bowie'.

I think that one was a Gerber Applegate folder.

My mistake, it wasn't the tech bowie but the bowie 2.0

Or maybe you missed mine. ;)

*thinks you fail really hard at sarcasm*

In honour of halloween, I watched my favourite slasher movie again: the uncut My Bloody Valentine (1981). It's so bad it's good. :D

Mostly a lot of pickaxe violence (the undisputed quickest way to a woman's heart :p) and assorted bloody murder in this one, but there is one scene where a couple characters play a game of 'five finger filet', one using a nice Buck 110.

WARNING: Explicit content and spoiler alert.

In this scene, the killer uses an unknown fixed blade to free himself after being trapped in a mine cave-in. How does he free himself? By sawing off his own arm.

In "Taken", a nice hand to knife fight with the bad guy using a karambit. I couldn't ever really get a good look at it, except the blade shape.

By whom?
Only one person has a knife.
Seems more a fist/foot/knee/towel/hook and screaming scene.;)

Do you like gladiator movies? :D
Check out the Spartacus series Starz did. Mostly short swords and such, but a fair amount of knives too. I'm fairly insensitive to film gore, but the amount of gore and level of realism was over the top.

It is eye catching for sure, but you wonder who is more likely to get hurt, you or the opponent. :D

The Spartacus series were excellent IMO. Loved "The Thing in the Pit"

In the jailbreak scene in "Face Off" one of the guards stabs the prisoner who helps Nicholas Cage escape in the leg with a SOG SEAL Pup.

Arnolds knife from "Commando". 25 years since that movie came out. Great lines in that movie. Still enjoy it today.

does anybody know what kind of knife John Malkovich's character, Marvin Boggs, pulls on Bruce Willis in RED? in the scene where the characters first meet and Malkovich is holding a crossbow, and Bruce Willis asks him to "please remove your knife from my balls, now." just from the look i got of it, it looked to be some sort of kukri, but i can't find any screenshots of the scene and I was wondering if any of you fellows might know what I'm talking about?

EDIT: i found a video clip with the knife i mentioned in it, i can be seen starting around 0:48-0:49 and is pointed at Bruce Willis'....lower regions.

Dunno if this has been answered, but I am 99% sure it is a Cold Steel Gurkha Kukri, I am saving up for one :)

I dont think anyone mentioned this yet.. Training Day, Denzel pulls a spyderco (I think endura) full serrated on one of the 2 druggies Ethan Hawk just beat up.

That's a Police. It says so quite clearly on the blade.

Doesn't that look like an SS police with that swedge? There's also some writing on the blade that looks like it's "police".

haha yeahh maybe your right... I was drinking a little bit last night when I saw it so I'm gonna say the booze clouded my judgement.
