If anyone wants to find him to try to get their money back here is his contact info with his physical address:
ANDREW KUNZ
15019 ARBOR RESERVE CIRCLE
UNIT 208
TAMPA, FLORIDA
36624 U.S.A.
(850) 227-6350 - MOBILE PHONE
(813) 964-7286 - HOME PHONE
EMAIL :
magicman133@gmail.com

his home number is no longer the same. i called just to see if he would answer and it went to a recording for another company.

Was that (850) 227-6350 that you called?

I don't know if it makes any difference, but the AREA code for the mobile phone listed above is for the Florida panhandle........ which is some distance from this "home" address.

You can check it out below............

I also had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Andrew Kunz. I ordered a knife on 9/1/08 and have not, as of this date, received it. My credit card was billed immediately. After 1 1/2 months I contacted my credit card company and received a refund. Andrew sent me a mocking email which basically thanked me for allowing him to steal my money. Most credit card companies never collect their money in these cases and just write them off. It just gives scum, like Andrew, a nifty scam for stealing money from unsuspecting victims. I filed a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center. I strongly encourage every other victim of this crook to do the same.

Redrex,
You might forward the email to your CC company. One would think CC companies would eventually tire of having to deal with Andrew's deception. They are the ones in the best position to put him out of business.
all da best,
rats...

Strangely enough, my credit card company (one of the country's major banks) did not seem interested in going after this guy. Not immediately, anyway. I suppose the CC companies deal with thousands of similar situations each month. I guess you can't expect them to pursue each case. I'm just glad I disputed the charge and got my $162 refunded.

wow I thought this guy was just really busy with orders... I ordered a knife on the 3rd of November and still haven't received anything. I guess I'll get in line and file a dispute with my cc company... Any info on how to file a dispute?

I would wait a little longer just in case you get lucky and he sends it. Then file a report if you haven't gotten it or any info on it in a week or two.

There should be a toll free number for your CC companies customer service department on the back of your credit card. Call that number and let them know that you would like to initiate a chargeback.

I agree with waiting another week or two before doing so.

Wait a little longer? Have you guys been reading this thread?

W00tz, call your credit card company right now and dispute the theft immediately. Just call the number on the back of your cc and tell them you were scammed. They'll lead you through the process.

Hi Redrex, is there any chance you could copy and paste the contents of that email? I'd be interested to read what the weasel has to say. He won't answer email or return calls to most of the people he's ripped off.

It's only been two weeks that's reasonable time to ship an order. I don't think the credit card company would refund your money after only 2 weeks. And waiting 2 weeks wouldn't hurt you can get the money back up to 180 days I believe.

You have 60 days from the time the charge was put on the cc, plus another five days is usually added to that by the cc company for mailing the statement to you, which gives 65 days total from the date of the charge to dispute it. NOTE: Each cc company has a little different approach in timing, but they all have to comply with the 60 day rule.

A credit card company will refund charges as long as you, the card holder, made any "reasonable" attempt to contact the vendor in question to cancel the order and get a refund.

That means if you're going to do an email to the vendor to cancel the order, only one email has to be sent by you with no reply from them or an unsatisfactory response from them, or if a phone call is to be made to the vendor to cancel, only one phone call attempt needs to be made to get in contact with the store. If there is no answer or you get the run-around or put on hold for a long time, just hang up. You've done enough to satisfy the reasonable effort standard and the cc company will suspend the charges. Then, it could take 6-8 weeks for them to investigate and completely remove the charge for good.

In the meatime, if the scumbag happens to send the knife to you during the dispute process, refuse the delivery from the postal carrier.

As far as I'm concerned, a reputable dealer shouldn't charge a cc until the time that the ordered item is going to be shipped, especially if it could take a couple weeks to ship it.

This guy Kuntz, or whatever his real name is, is exactly that....a kuntz.........and is a first rate scumbag, IMO.

He should not get the benefit of the doubt.

That's probably true. I just thought it would look a little better if he gave the guy a little longer. After this thread he probably doesn't deserve it...:grumpy::mad:

Always the same old song and dance with "kunz" he dont understand why the knife has not arrived yet "give it another week and I ship another one". Sent me usps tracking numbers that never worked :jerkit:. Tell me how he is in college and so busy with orders that he is "backed up right now". I found his myspace page and it looks like litte andy sure has a lot of time to party and drink going by the pictures on his myspace. What a waste this guy is.

Do it now; right now!!! Really, this guy has so many people he's screwed why would one think he/she is special. I may win the Lottery too, and I figure there's a better chance of that than this guy coming through.

That is incorrect. Below you will find a link to the Visa Operating Regulations manual. There you will find the time limits for initiating a chargeback. In most cases it is 120 days.

Yes I thought it was more than 60 days. Thanks for the link. 60 days might be the lowest the law will allow though.
