Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Hope you got caught up Ron, nice Sunday choice, I keep meaning to 'unwrap' mine :)

Morning Guardians, welcome to another week ;) Hope it's a good one for everyone

Thanks Jack! Yesterday morning Pam and I traveled to a neighboring county to attend Sunday School and services. A friend has cancer and is undergoing treatments. He teaches SS at this church where we visited. He and his wife used to attend and teach at our church years ago, before they decided to move to this church, which is closer to their home. This couple are just wonderful friends. They gave me unwavering love and support when I was going through a tough time with the illness and passing of my wife, Kim in 2005. They were also very supportive when Pam and I met and were married in 2008. Along with six other couples we were able to pull off a surprise visit for our friend. It was truly a touching moment to see the look on his face when he walked in and saw all of us setting in his classroom. After the services we all went out and had a great lunch at a local restaurant. It was a great day.

Well enough on that and on to the Lambsfoot content Jack. Lucy appears to have some reading to catch up on my friend! ;)

Today I’m carrying this Rosewood contract example made by Wright’s! I hope all you Guardians have a great day! :D

Thank you, Harvey. I was just trying to show that I knew what I was talking about. There are a lot of folks working Mental Health in many different fields that do a lot of good for a lot of folks. I was lucky to have some of them on our team.
I haven't seen the movie, but I'm aware of what the words mean and I'll look for it.
I have no doubts that you know your “stuff.” I was never at your level, but I was a social worker in a locked unit, working with court ordered juvenile and and latency aged sex offenders(separate units, of course), in what was then an experimental treatment program.

I didn’t know if it was appropriate to leave a link, but Blood In, Blood Out can easily be found on YT.

Prester John Prester John Great image, Vince.

Half/Stop Half/Stop Blessing and best wishes to all of you, Ron.

Jack Black Jack Black I see a lot of good reading there, Jack. Cheers!

Good Morning Guardians. Here’s to a good week for all.

This thread has become my new BF go to, alongside the traditionals thread. I’ve never really been drawn towards the lambsfoot blade shape before, but now my wallet is starting to get itchy seeing all of these. Some of these knives are just such beautiful embodiments of a good solid old fashioned working pocket knife.

That's nice to hear Lucky, look forward to seeing more of you here

Good Morning Guardians.
I'll join Darren in posting a coin picture.

Cool pic John :)

The sunlight and camera angle conspired to reveal the blade etching. I did not realize the “Real Lamb Foot” was actually inscribed on the blade and I hadn’t seen it for quite a while because the patina covered it up
UojMec3.jpg

It's not too deep, but the legend is inscribed into the blade by a 100 year old pantographic etching machine (I've shown pics of it a few times) :) Nice pic

I had the bacon earlier! This was a refreshing early evening light supper. (Had some eggs with Tabasco sauce, toast with butter, and some whole milk later.)

Thanks, Jack. Had a great weekend. Astros swept the A's! (Sorry, Taylor. :( At least Golden State won last night!)
:)

LOL! Glad you're not wasting away my friend! ;) :D

That doesn't mean a lot to me I'm afraid, but it sounds like fun! :D ;)

Thanks Jack. :)

Have a great week folks.View attachment 1139111

Sorry to hear about your friend Ron, and I hope he recovers OK. I'm sure that seeing you and Pam, and all his other friends, did him a power of good :)

I hope those books don't lead Lucy astray Ron ;) Eddie Bunker was a prison author, who makes a brief appearance as 'Mr Blue' in Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs. In 1951, aged 17, he became the youngest inmate to be sent to San Quentin, which some of our fellow Guardians were relating stories about

I first came across Eddie Bunker when a friend of mine (a Sheffield historian and probation officer) interviewed him in the early 1990's (I think the interview was done over the telephone). I read his first novel around the same time, and his other books. No Beast So Fierce was turned into the film Straight Time, but I never thought Dustin Hoffman carried the part very well. Your photo brings to mind far sweeter things Harvey, put a knife on top of a doughnut and it looks even better! :D

LOL! Glad you're not wasting away my friend! ;) :D
Sometimes I wish I were. Eating a not very exciting lunch of tuna, almonds, banana, and yogurt, but it's pasta, meatballs, and wine for dinner!
That doesn't mean a lot to me I'm afraid, but it sounds like fun! :D ;)
Sorry. I get excited about baseball sometimes. The Houston Astros just beat the Oakland Athletics (Taylor's team) three games in a row. We call that a "sweep." Baseball is played every day, usually in series of three (sometimes four, occasionally two) games.
The other reference to Golden State is to the NBA (basketball) championship being played. I believe they are also from Oakland. They won game two of a best-of-seven series last night.
I will try to minimize references to American sports. ;)

How about Liverpool winning the Champions League?

Hey don't worry about that Vince, it's all good, and I learned something! :D Apparently, the pubs in Liverpool ran out of beer! :D Enjoy your meatballs my friend, I had pasta myself :)

Hey now, the A's were on a lil hot streak (10 games won in a row). I'm a Sacramento Kings fan but my son loves the Warriors.
