Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

LOL! :D Yep, even if you only speak a few words, I think people appreciate it :) I hate to travel to places where I don't speak any of the language, and always aim to pick up the basics, at least, before travelling. When I was younger, I was very self-conscious about my poor French grammar (no doubt a lot worse now). My big breakthrough was getting drunk! I had a fantastic evening, spoke fluently, and everyone understood what I said perfectly it seemed :D I realised that maybe having perfect grammar probably wasn't as important as making an effort

A fine-looking flock my friend :)
There is one phrase I consider a must know in every language. Here’s the Spanish version. Dónde está el baño:) Cheers Jack.

Here are better pictures of my stag...

Just be warned, if you travel to the USA, we speak English and the people here might not be able to understand you. ;) :D

LOL! I can ask for a beer in a lot of languages! :D

It's bad enough when I go to London! :D

State-dependent learning! I’m the same way with Spanish. I can’t remember much when I’m sober.

Around the corner,to the left ;)
Working with Hispanics I've picked up a little bit, not enough to converse full sentences, but enough to be polite when needed, and enough to be rude when needed. Funny enough though is Hispanics tend to mistake me for Hispanic. Last weekend while at the flea market I stopped at a booth with cowboy hats and boots, leather goods. Ran by a Hispanic man, he told me "let me know if you have any questions " but in Spanish, lol I only caught a couple words. I said " No habla espanol, no latino, Americanos " he went o_O lol The Mexican lady that works with me says "Ah David, it's you sombrero, and you brown, for Americanos":D my grandfather was full blood Apache, though I never met him. Apparently its enough to pass as Mexican:D:thumbsup:

This afternoon I changed my carry for the evening to my Stag Bigun! Pam fixed this new recipe for us tonight. It was a very tasty chicken and rice dish. It had green peppers along with green onions, Chinese spices and 6 Clementine oranges all cooked up in the sauce. The only problem I had was the chicken being cut into large chunks. My trusty Lambsfoot quickly remedied that issue! :D Did I mention the fact that this is a low calorie dish!

Rather busy day today, so I haven't even read today's posts in the Guardians thread. I thought before heading to bed, I should at least post a pic of my lambsfoot for this week. It's Valley Jack, my 2019 ironwood Guardians lambsfoot. Mark and pile side shots taken after some yard work this evening:

Union Jack is looking good but your iron wood is LAVA! Ok, I just made up the "Lava" thing but it has to be better than either "fire" or "lit" .......riiiiight? :D

This one helped me doing chores around the house....and on top of the house too. :D

Been looking for an excuse to put this one up. Guess Jack's statement is reason enough  Jack Black Jack Black , here ya' go

LOL! :D Thanks OG :)

I always think it's a real shame that many visitors to Britain only see London, what a miserable place! o_O I was standing waiting for a bus in London a few year's back, and I asked a young lady if she had been waiting long. She was a visiting Australian, and was so pleased to have a conversation, she said I was about the only person who'd spoken to her since she arrived. London is another country to most British folks

LOL! :D I love Spanish, it's pronounced a little differently in Europe, but the rules are consistent and very easy to learn, much easier than French I think, or English for that matter! :D

LOL! :D You guys are giving me a good chuckle today :D Nice pic Kevin

5K Qs 5K Qs showed a pic of his button spanner a few pages back. Metal 'buttons' were certainly the most common way of joining leather drive belts, but apparently some were joined by a crude buckle, like these John Maleham gave me from the Wright's factory. Carrying my AC today
