Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I get confused all the time about the spelling! The old blade stamps and etches often say Lamb Foot!:( Worthy of a little renewed discussion I'd say!!:)

Been discussed many times in this thread, and indexed :) Old blade etches almost always say 'Lamb Foot' or 'Lambfoot', catalogues say 'Lamb Foot', 'Lambfoot' or 'Lambsfoot'. Sheffield cutlers always says 'Lambsfoot'

FWIW, LVG4 has it Lambfoot and that dirty word Sheepfoot

Aww, whut duz he know???:D

 ;)

Good Saturday morning to all Guardians! There was no dog training today:( so I got some yard work and house stuff done. When I checked the mail house, my Waynorth ebony lambfoot was waiting for me...thank you, USPS for speedy, safe delivery. Was waiting on it for a family photo session. Wanted to do it outside but Mother Nature is not cooperating. Same with the shot of the yucca.
This the first Gabon Ebony knife for me and like everyone has said, it is special!
Here's the family line up...

Good Morning, Dwight. I think that stag wins the "deep groove" award", it's so cool looking.
Thank you my friend.

You did, thank you! I'll have to take a new photo of it. I only have pics of it posing with some non-lambsfeet.

:cool::thumbsup:

View attachment 1156870 I have been following this thread for sometime now and noticed how well educated in the lamb foot everyone is and would be honored if the guardians would accept my post. Rosewood, ebony buffalo
Welcome AL. :)

Hope everyone is having a great weekend :) Our weather forecasters got it wrong again, so I ended up carrying a lot of spare clobber, but had a great day nonetheless, even if one of the pubs I called at on my 10-mile hike had recently closed

Thanks, guys! Yeah, that rosemary is ridiculously overgrown. The only reason I haven't pruned it back is because it makes a cool background.

My Lambfoot Journey: I've always been partial to the straight edge of the sheep foot blade on the stock knives that I often have carried - easily sharpened and works so well for so many daily uses. When I found the Case swayback with it's warncliff blade I had to have one and it's a dandy little knife. Then, I found Bladeforum! And soon after, the Guardians thread. Hah! The LAMBFOOT is THE knife! So, I sent off to Sheffield for my very own A. Wright and Sons Lamb foot knife! Awesome little guy with it's horn handle and snappy spring and so handy straight edge. Been enjoying it for about a year now.
So, then one day, I must have been napping, because there was all this talk about the Waynorth Lamb foot from Great Eastern and I was too late to order one and people were already showing theirs off! Dang, I missed it! So, I thought there may be the off chance I could find an old one online somewhere, and wouldn't you know it - I did! An old IXL that looks like the inspiration for the Waynorth, and from a seller in Sheffield, England to boot. It never even left home! Hah.
A day or so later, I then found one of Charlie's knives on the web, and though I paid way too much, I now have one of those masterpieces too!
Anyhow, let's see if I can post a few pictures.
Ben

Well, darn it! Technical difficulties, wouldn't you know it. Got pictures to post and they're not going through!
