After the snake photos a few days ago I found this guy lurking about in the rear of the compound...I charmed him into a trance for this photo.

Same here mate, these trendy joints charge up to five bucks for a coffee that is very ordinary, so you do have to be selective. I can get a better coffee from 7/11 for one dollar, that is much better than what some of the trendy joints charge. Just returned from my walk, zero degrees and a good frost, but got the heater going, and going to be a good day. Thanks a lot for the entries folks![]()
Great views Ed![]()
Fantastic pic Dan, and your visitor is cuter than the one I just found strolling into my kitchen!I never kill spiders, but when they start moving the furniture, out they go!

Yeah, he might get it before Xmas too!![]()

I pay about £3 for a decent coffee, sometimes a bit more, sometimes a little less, so it seems like you're getting a good deal by comparison!![]()
The problem is every mediocre coffee shop here now thinks they can charge the same price, even if their coffee is second rate, so you really have to know where to go
You too my friend, hope you're having a good 'un

What made me want to become a Guardian and carry a Lambsfoot knife? With the 1,500 page milestone coming up, I've been reflecting on how far this thread has come over the past three years. And, more importantly, how much the pattern itself has risen in popularity here on The Porch.
For those who are willing to share, I'm curious what prompted your first lambsfoot acquisition? Was it a particular post that gave you an "I've got to have one!" moment? Was it a slow and steady building of curiosity until you decided you might as well purchase one? A gift maybe? Or, did you just want to be like Jack?
For me, it was allJack Black and @r8shell's fault.
I'd been gradually building a curiosity about the pattern after seeing a few of Jack's in the Totin' thread, but then, over the course of about a day, Jack posted a picture of his special buffalo horn and r8shell posted a picture of her rosewood. Seeing those two essentially back to back pushed me over the "I need to try one" threshold and I ended up ordering the standard buffalo horn model that I now carry nearly every day.
It didn't start out as my every-day carry, of course. I had to build the relationship with it and come to appreciate all of its many charms and capabilities. But I'm so glad I did. Had I not seen those two pictures back to back in early June of 2016, who knows how much longer it would have taken to get one in my collection.
That's my "how I got my first lambsfoot story." Anyone else want to share theirs?
That's what I love about my lambsfoot, it feels so right using it, even for heavier tasks too. I think it's the toughest knife in my small collection.
And yet it looks so classy and elegant too ! ( especially my black ebony one lol.
Feels right at home, from a restaurants to cutting up cardboard and camping duties .... always there![]()
ExactlyWhat made me want to become a Guardian and carry a Lambsfoot knife?
Honestly, it was the people here in the Guardian's thread. I was hanging out here long before I got my first Lambsfoot knife. The Porch as a whole is a friendly place, but the Guardians were over-the-top friendly and supportive of each other.
