My waynorth waynorth lamb is a slicing son of a gun ...

This year I started reading this thread and decided to try out a lambsfoot. My first one was a Rodgers that I picked up from a Forum member. Since then I have picked up four more: two from Jack, one from a Sheffield dealer and a Waynorth from a Forum member.. Yes, it is addictive.

Why did I jump into the Guardians thread? I didn't have one and had been checking out the thread for sometime so I jumped right in and got one and then another and then another and now I've got seven of them with #8 and #9 on the way.

Oops. Make that eight of them with #9 and #10 on the way.

When will it end? Not today!!!!!

I have previously told my story about my love of the Lamb Foot, but a brief explanation. As a kid spent a lot of time at cattle and sheep sales with my cousin who was a stock and station agent and auctioneer, all the farmers had Lamb Foot knives in pouches on their belts, they explained to me that they were true work knives that were easier to sharpen at the end of the day. My Auntie also had one, as a horticultural knife which is also part of their history. Have had a few over the years[ wish i still had them] but always had one in my collection. When i joined bladeforums earlier this year, discovered " The Porch " and wanted to be part of it. The most friendly and knowledgeable people are on the porch, and i really feel like a part of a family, it is sort of like having penpals from days past, from all over the world. But one thing it has done, because i struggle with technology being an old expulsion of wind, made me get of my behind and learn to post photos, add an avatar and generally improve my techno skills. I had to learn because i felt i was like an interloper not being able to take part with photos. And for that i will be eternally grateful. But it is not a cheap porch to be a member of, i am always trying to add to my collection, i think they call it Addiction Personality Disorder, and i have it, and so does everyone else on the porch, though some my be in denial. So there you have it everybody, I'm Out and openly admitting my addiction.:p

You have brought up the usefulness, easy sharpening and other reasons why the Lamb Foot is so popular in many places in the world, cudgee! A testament to your insight is the many people (and pages!) in this thread dedicated to the worship of the Lamb Foot!!:)
I have to admit, it's been nudging aside my other knives in my pocket!!

Just got caught up. Been pretty busy.

Jack Black Jack Black - Thank you Jack. Simply wonderful images of Lambsfoot Journeys.

Modoc ED Modoc ED - So Happy for you with the test results.

@dc50 - Wishing that things continue to go well for you, Dave.

@WhittlinAway - My attraction to the Lambsfoot started out of curiosity. I lurked quite a bit, at first, and it took a while to catch the vibe. I was first drawn to the politeness. I also felt like I had stepped into a time machine. Also took a while to understand what is a Lambsfoot knife. Did a lot of history reading, and pestering Jack Black Jack Black for answers. He was and is a very kind and patient fellow. As are the Guardians. Once I acquired my first Lambsfoot, I was off to the races. I love the older ones as well as Jack’s SFOs.

My “IN” entry is for Dennis @mitch4ging
