Jack what a beautiful old Lambsfoot. Charlie is one of the kindest, most generous individuals I’ve had the pleasure to meet in person.I am carrying this fine old William Rodgers today, a generous gift from Charliewaynorth a few years back

I spotted a beautiful two-handed Elwell axe in an antiques shop yesterday. I have absolutely no use for another axe, and certainly not one of this size, and it was spendy, but it sure was tempting![]()
Thanks John!Very artistic and cool photo, Mark.
It looks glorious with the rays of light shining through.![]()
I'd rather skin a knee than lose a favorite item of clothing. Especially if you can't replace those items easily. Hope you find some suitable replacements and that your bumps and bruises heal quickly.
Ouch!! hope you are OK!! The watch and pants can be fixed/repaired/replaced!!Thanks buddy, it was going great until I tripped on a kerb, went flying, broke the bracelet on my watch, badly scuffed a new pair of trousers, and almost ended up face-down on the pavement! The treasure was unharmed, a good job I collect pocket knives and not vintage porcelain
Looking good my friend, I had pizza this afternoon, but it was mediocreThose two look great

I was disappointed when I went there recently. The root beer wasn't fresh draft like I remembered, just regular fountain drink like you can buy anywhere.Charlie, Linda and I stopped at A&W and had Teen Burgers, I feel 20 years younger today.![]()

Hanging out with a bunch of squares
I've not heard that phrase before, but it certainly conveys a clear word picture!...
like dragging a fridge through a drift of porridge, ...
What an outstanding birthday gift to yourself!!!Good morning Guardians.
Today is a great day for me, finally the knife that I offered to myself as a birthday present has arrived, although quite late (the birthday was on September 18th !!), it was worth all the waiting time, because in my modest opinion is a handsome example of a Lambsfoot Barlow this knife made by artisan Michael May.
...
I probably wouldn't treasure it, but I could see myself buying one of those if the price was right!...
I can't see anyone treasuring this contemporary Lambsfoot from TEW. I think this one was a giveaway, but apparently some folks actually buy these things
...
Really attractive horn, ED! I see a comet racing from the darkness into the light.Good morning Guardians. My "L'il un" with my board pattern reflected in the blade.

Glad the diagnosis is good, Mark!Spent a rather tense day in the Women's imaging lab at the hospital today with the Missus.
Looks like everything is OK though!!
I may have rubbed a dent in my Ironwood.

Thanks for the nod to Man Jack, Vince. Thanks, Gary. Man Jack's a looker, too!
Herriot practised in Yorkshire, as you know. Enjoying the book so far.
Thanks, Ron!...
Thanks for the kind words Gary! It’s always a treat to see your Sambar Senator!![]()
I've never seen the current show, but I used to enjoy a TV adaptation of the Herriot books that was broadcast 25 (?) years ago. (Had some trouble understanding the dialect of the Yorkshire farmers, though. There is a great tv show on over here at the moment called The Yorkshire Vet, it is about a veterinary practice that is run out of James Herriot's old surgery, i really enjoy it. Have you had a chance to see it.?
Marvelous photo!
Thanks for the interesting post on the care of your ebony, Dan!TY GT
I don't think it's necessarily from the buffing although it may have improved the look and feel when I did it the first time.
...
MJ thanks you, John....
Now I want to hear the joke.
...
Man Jack is looking fine, GT.![]()

I know what you mean, Ben! We've got all kinds of weird fungus growing in the back yard after 7 days with rain, and one of the dogs thinks it's all edible!View attachment 1207079 Good evening Guardians! It's been so wet around here lately, these guys have been popping up all over the place!
Jon, the outing sounds fun, and the rosewood looks grand!Good Morning Guardians. Hope everyone has a great Friday. After work my family and friends are heading to our monthly food truck meet up. It’s a pretty fun event, they have around 13 food trucks and live music. I’m carrying my old stand by lambfoot.

Have a good time, Dave, but don't "bet the farm" on anything!Good Morning fellows! Been much too busy lately for retirementThis weekend we will be off again to a Casino Hotel to meet up with a bunch of the Mrs relatives from three different provinces to celebrate one of her cousin's 60th birthday.
I know where I will spend/hide most of my time, seeing as it's at a Casino.

I'm looking forward to that HHB, Jack; thanks for all your efforts!...
Sounds nice Gary, hope the replacement I picked up today will be pleasing to your eye my friend (PM later)
I find the pigeon corpse behind some potted plants in the garden this morning, unless it's a different bird!
I think I can guess that grasshopper joke!
Excellent pic of your Man Jack GT![]()
...
Congrats, Bill! IMHO, that's a magnificent model!Well, well, well. Look what the postman delivered today. As many of you already know this is one of Charlie's many fine efforts and the manufacturer did a great job on F&F. Not to mention that the jigging really appeals to me. The scales are almost a perfect match

Can't beat that, ED!Had to take a quick trip to town to the Dr.'s Office for a quick check up which was mandatory before getting my flu shot. Guess What!!!! I got a sucker when they gave me my shot. The Nurse said the next time they might let me sit at the tiny table in one of the tiny chairs in the waiting room and play with the Bead Puzzle. Yahoo!!!!
...
Thanks! Whenever I go to the dentist, I like to read the Highlights Magazine. It's still very entertaining!![]()
Glad I'm not the only one! And I totally agree with John.Hidden Pictures is the best.
You're a pin cushion! At least you have a lambsfoot for each inoculation.I had four shots the day before yesterday.

John, I've been trying not to effusively praise your ebony WCLF every time I see it, but I can't hold back any longer. What a captivating knife!!
What I said about John's knife applies to yours, too! And that black dog is a superb Guardian, I'll wager! Here is my Guardian.

In the top photo is my first Lambsfoot. I gave it to a friend who raises sheep. I figured he deserved it more than me! The bottom photo is my latest and greatest.
Speaking of healing, how's your recovery coming along, Jeff!Jack, sorry to hear of your pains . . . heal quickly!
Hahaha... That's actually pretty funny.A grasshopper walks into a bar, and the bartender greets him warmly, saying, "We're glad to see you here! We even serve a drink named after you!" The grasshopper replies, "Why would you name a drink 'Bob'??"
