Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I'd rather skin a knee than lose a favorite item of clothing. Especially if you can't replace those items easily. Hope you find some suitable replacements and that your bumps and bruises heal quickly.

Me too John, I had several pairs of those trousers, but 5.11 stopped making them, and the ones I was wearing were straight out of the bag :( I'm certainly not short of other things to wear though, thankfully :) Thank you my friend, I've certainly had worse  :D

Good Morning Guardians
It will be a lazy day at home, doing little chores and watching football...

Lovely ebony WCLF John :)

Here is my Guardian.

In the top photo is my first Lambsfoot. I gave it to a friend who raises sheep. I figured he deserved it more than me! The bottom photo is my latest and greatest.

Great pics Leslie

Jack what a beautiful old Lambsfoot. Charlie is one of the kindest, most generous individuals I’ve had the pleasure to meet in person. :)

I’m sorry to hear of your tumble Jack! :( I hope all is well with you my friend. I know how we can become attached to certain items of favorite clothing and other personal items such as watches. Even if they are discontinued items it’s still better than a broken bone or a cut that requires stitches!

Today in my carries I’ve included this 2018 Ebony Guardians SFO. I hope y’all have a blessed day!

I sure don't need another broken bone!

Thank you Harry, super photos :)

Lovely Lambsfoot Dave

I've not heard that phrase before, but it certainly conveys a clear word picture!

Me neither Gary, it was off the cuff :D

The joke is not that great, but I really like to think about the subject matter (individualism vs. postmodern tribalism, stereotyping, etc.).
A grasshopper walks into a bar, and the bartender greets him warmly, saying, "We're glad to see you here! We even serve a drink named after you!" The grasshopper replies, "Why would you name a drink 'Bob'??"

I figured that was the one! :D The version here was written by a gentleman called Barry Cryer in the days when there was whisky called 'White Horse' on sale in pubs. Since you don't see the whisky anymore, you don't hear the joke anymore, but it was very common once.

A white horse walks into a pub. The barman says, "Hey, we've got a whisky named after you!" The horse replies, "Why do they call it Eric?"

I'm looking forward to that HHB, Jack; thanks for all your efforts!

It's packaged up and ready to go in the mail today my friend :) I'm sorry Wright's took so long to make you a replacement o_O

Yowza! You're an acrobat, Jack! Glad you and your treasure weren't badly damaged.
Looking forward to seeing your purchase

Not anymore I'm afraid! :( Thank you Gary, I'll try and get the treasure photographed over the next couple of days :)

Canadian Split Pea Soup for dinner :D the lambsfoot is a 2018 SFO ;)

That looks delicious Dave :)

I love Split Pea Soup, yours looks delicious. Our season for soup is coming to an end.

I was just thinking that we're coming into soup and stew season the other day :) With our miserable wet winters, you need something to look forward to! :D ;)

As far as I'm concerned, all year is soup season.

Good point! :D

The flock keeps growing but it still needs another Hartshead Barlow, perhaps two, and a couple/three more Lambfoot with ebony covers.

Fantastic flock Ed :)

Was at a Sunday market yesterday, lots of old tools and good stuff. Saw this and reminded me of my Dad's tool collection. Had a look at it, and in good condition, it's a Rabone, boxwood made in England 36 inch carpenters ruler, not cheap made in Asia junk. Handed over $10, would have paid $30, the bloke next to me, looked at me and said" i was going to buy that," he offered me $20, i said i was not interested. We got talking, really nice bloke, turned out he was a dealer with a couple of shops. He really wanted it as he said because of it's condition he would have no trouble getting $40 for it. Sometimes you are in the right place at the right time. Wish i had this sort of luck at buying knives.o_O Hope you all have a good week.;)

Nice find my friend, I buy a lot of that sort of stuff :) I saw a couple of nice Rabone spirit-levels on Saturday, but it is the Chesterman tools I collect

Thanks Jack! Charlie is a treasure as are you my friend! What I would give to be in attendance at that meeting. It would be mind boggling at the knife knowledge available! And besides, I’ve known Charlie for five years and based on my correspondence with you over the years I will say that you guys are cut from the same cloth. :D:thumbsup:

Another wet day here, and I'm off to the post office. Nothing fragile about this Needham Lambsfoot ;)

I’m off to the dentist this morning because I’ve got a crown that keeps coming off. :( I’m afraid I’m going to end up with an implant. I dread that because I know it will eat into my knife budget! I’m going to carry my Jack Black SFO Rosewood Hartshead Barlow.

lol, Ron, I know I need a tune-up at the Dentist as well, but I too secretly keep it to myself from the Missus ;) I don't want to miss out on purchasing another lambsfoot. :p:D

Hey Guardians,

I’ve got a lot of catching up to do. ;):eek:

Just dropping in to say hello, and that Ol’ Ironsides has been a steady companion.:cool:

In fact, he’s been hogging the pocketspace so much, I’m still yet to get a good patina on the outstanding Hartshead and Waynorth Lambsfoot knives, which are patiently waiting in the EDC queue!:)

What a great looking two blade Lamb. It certainly looks capable.

Super picture, Ron. Good luck today.

Your picture makes me want to pull out my Ironwood SFO and use it. Nice to see you checking in, Chin.

Chin's picture of his well-loved Ironwood SFO had me thinking of how nice those Ironwood knives look with some miles on them. Up until now I've babied mine and haven't really used it, preferring to keep it new looking. But, since I have the Hartshead in the safe, I see no reason to keep the Ironwood new any longer. I am going to make it a point to carry Skoll for the rest of the month of October. After all, Halloween is coming and the Wolf wants to howl!!!

In my pocket... Sorry for the shiny pic, I'm on the way out the door.

lol, Ron, I know I need a tune-up at the Dentist as well, but I too secretly keep it to myself from the Missus ;) I don't want to miss out on purchasing another lambsfoot. :p:D
I know what you mean Dave! Luckily I got by with no charge today!:D

Super picture, Ron. Good luck today.
Thanks John! Like I told Dave, I got lucky today!:D

Half/Stop Half/Stop - That's not good and can be expensive. Here's a British Crown you can have to fix your tooth if need be. I don't know about the fit but it fits nicely with this L'll one.
