Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Those ebony Guardians lambsfoots are Wooden Wednesday Winners, José & Ron, no matter what day you carry them!

That I*XL stag lambsfoot is a treat, Harvey!

:D:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I've not heard that phrase before, but it certainly conveys a clear word picture!

What an outstanding birthday gift to yourself!!!

I probably wouldn't treasure it, but I could see myself buying one of those if the price was right!

Really attractive horn, ED! I see a comet racing from the darkness into the light.

Glad the diagnosis is good, Mark!

Thanks for the nod to Man Jack, Vince.
One of my favorite slapstick comedy chapters is in the fourth Herriot book, I think. The title of the story is, IIRC, "The Bull in the Bowler Hat". It always makes me laugh until I cry!

Thanks, Ron!

I've never seen the current show, but I used to enjoy a TV adaptation of the Herriot books that was broadcast 25 (?) years ago. (Had some trouble understanding the dialect of the Yorkshire farmers, though. ;))

Marvelous photo!

Thanks for the interesting post on the care of your ebony, Dan!

MJ thanks you, John. :)
The joke is not that great, but I really like to think about the subject matter (individualism vs. postmodern tribalism, stereotyping, etc.).
A grasshopper walks into a bar, and the bartender greets him warmly, saying, "We're glad to see you here! We even serve a drink named after you!" The grasshopper replies, "Why would you name a drink 'Bob'??"

I know what you mean, Ben! We've got all kinds of weird fungus growing in the back yard after 7 days with rain, and one of the dogs thinks it's all edible!

Jon, the outing sounds fun, and the rosewood looks grand!

Have a good time, Dave, but don't "bet the farm" on anything!

I'm looking forward to that HHB, Jack; thanks for all your efforts!
It's not surprising that after leaving that imprint on the window, the bird was unable to fly/walk away!
Thanks for the good words about Man Jack.

Congrats, Bill! IMHO, that's a magnificent model!

Can't beat that, ED!

Glad I'm not the only one! And I totally agree with John.

You're a pin cushion! At least you have a lambsfoot for each inoculation.

I remember the TV show you are talking about, i have been trying to find a DVD collection of it. Was one of my favorite shows.:)

The flock keeps growing but it still needs another Hartshead Barlow, perhaps two, and a couple/three more Lambfoot with ebony covers.

I love Split Pea Soup, yours looks delicious. Our season for soup is coming to an end.
And ours is just starting, I should have worked harder and purchased a summer home in the South as well :D
" Ya gotta know when to hold em, know when to fold em";)
That's exactly what I live by, except the little girl was serving up really nice iced up Whisky Coolers, and I somehow lost my focus/Zen

Was at a Sunday market yesterday, lots of old tools and good stuff. Saw this and reminded me of my Dad's tool collection. Had a look at it, and in good condition, it's a Rabone, boxwood made in England 36 inch carpenters ruler, not cheap made in Asia junk. Handed over $10, would have paid $30, the bloke next to me, looked at me and said" i was going to buy that," he offered me $20, i said i was not interested. We got talking, really nice bloke, turned out he was a dealer with a couple of shops. He really wanted it as he said because of it's condition he would have no trouble getting $40 for it. Sometimes you are in the right place at the right time. Wish i had this sort of luck at buying knives.o_O Hope you all have a good week.;)

@5K Qs - Thank you GT. I’m a big fan of your Man Jack.

Jack Black Jack Black - A special treasure, a pint, and a cool AC. I’d say you had an “its’ a very good day” kind of day. Cheers!

Here’s to all Guardian having a great weekend.

That looks like an excellent pair, Harvey!
Thanks buddy, it was going great until I tripped on a kerb, went flying, broke the bracelet on my watch, badly scuffed a new pair of trousers, and almost ended up face-down on the pavement! o_O The treasure was unharmed, a good job I collect pocket knives and not vintage porcelain
Glad you weren't hurt bad, Jack! Shame about your watch and britches!
I’m glad you’re all right Jack! I had this treasure with me today.

Wonder Double-Lamb shot! Real vivid!:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Good evening Guardians! I’m running late today, it’s been a busy one. I’m carrying two lambs today. The Waynorth Jigged Bone has become a pocket favorite. Since it’s Saturday I decided to give my Stag HHB some past due pocket time. :)

I spotted a beautiful two-handed Elwell axe in an antiques shop yesterday. I have absolutely no use for another axe, and certainly not one of this size, and it was spendy, but it sure was tempting
A wonderful looking Lambsfoot, Jack!
We were driving past a garage sale several months ago, and I wound up coming home with an unlabeled hewing ax head. Don't see myself hewing many logs anytime soon, but couldn't pass it up!:rolleyes:o_O:D
Good Morning Guardians
It will be a lazy day at home, doing little chores and watching football...
Super Stealth Black Lamb! Looking good, John!!:thumbsup:
Great Jack-o-Lamb, Bill!:cool::thumbsup:
Here is my Guardian.

In the top photo is my first Lambsfoot. I gave it to a friend who raises sheep. I figured he deserved it more than me! The bottom photo is my latest and greatest.
Great looking "Guardian ", Greg! Real generous of you with the give away one! :)

Btw, didn't mention it before, but my folks use to live in Slidell before moving back to NM, and an old army buddy just retired from the Baton Rouge PD, lives up by Clinton. Need to go out and see him soon.
Today in my carries I’ve included this 2018 Ebony Guardians SFO. I hope y’all have a blessed day!

Great photo of your SFO HHB, and MORE great looking turquoise, Charlie!:thumbsup:
I was disappointed when I went there recently. The root beer wasn't fresh draft like I remembered, just regular fountain drink like you can buy anywhere.

It's not the same A&W from our childhood...:(
But your SFO Barlow looks great!:thumbsup:
Hello Guardians.

Spotted this view on a walk with Ari.
