Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I remember my dad telling me, when I was a young boy, that by the time I got old people would be retiring at 50 o_O Mind you, my mother told that we'd all have our own helicopters too
And the cities will be domed and climate-controlled, and the sidewalks will walk for us, and we'll be improving our minds because the robots will be doing all the work.

What if we spent all of our days improving our minds and learning new ways to be lazy?
Hey, I think I made a link!

Looking good Dwight! :)

Yikes! Hopefully your barroom brawling days are behind you :D. They are pretty stout mugs and they hold more than a pint!

I had a few it with me today while doing some photographing - rain free for the most part today.

That’s a really nice trio Dylan! Beautiful photo as usual! :)

Thank you Ron. Your Horn SFO is ultra beautiful. Sorry I missed out on that one.

Good Evening Guardians.

Thank you for the compliments Harvey! :) Beautiful Lambsfoot and very nice hotdog and fries. It sorta makes me think about Baseball for some unknown reason! :D

Yes, it's a shame both the promises made and the samples produced proved to be so inaccurate :( Brian drives over 50 miles to work each morning too
Maybe the Peaches and Cream were just an omen of things to come Jack! Regardless we got some really nice knives my friend! Wow, that’s a long drive by any standard Jack! He seems like a really nice guy and highly dedicated to his clientele! I hope he is able to survive this madness! :D

Good morning Guardians, how is everyone doing? I hope that everyone is keeping safe, including our absent pals  Sunny weather here again, a shame we couldn't have had it when I could actually go somewhere  Have a good day Guardians

Good morning Jack! Nice photo of your Hartshead! :)

Glad the weather calmed and you were able to get outside for your evening rituals.
Beautiful picture of your Small, Medium, and XX Medium Lambs.

Nice picture, Jack.
Hopefully the weather will be just as nice when they release you.
There's already rumblings of beginning the slow releases here in the States.

That's it Jer! :D In the early 1960's they planned to build an underground labyrinth of shops in Sheffield city centre, the central square was to be crowned with a huge glass dome. They didn't have the money for the dome though, so it became known locally as 'The Hole In The Road', and degenerated over the next 30-odd years into an unsightly and dangerous maze of tunnels, which were eventually filled in with a vast amount of concrete

Good morning Jack! Nice photo of your Hartshead! :)

I think it probably was Ron, together with all the problems I had with the ebony at the same time o_O I also hope he can survive, Leeds city council have been trying to gentrify the market, much to its detriment, and I'm sure they'd like nothing better than to replace Brian's barber's shop with a vegan soap emporium or bijou cocktail bar or something

Thank you my friend :)

House-keeping content: I have removed that bit of cabbage from under the dish-drainer.

:D

Good Morning Guardians
This Black Friday picture does not reflect my mood... I remain joyful and optimistic. :)

It is Friday... Right?
It is indeed Friday John! :)

It sounds like typical city government Jack! :( Great photo my friend! :)

It's also Arbor Day.

Beautiful Ironwood Vince! :)

Thanks a lot John, as I'm not able to go far, I'm just taking a few close to where I live :) Yeah, a little bit like that here too, but a lot of people seem to be adapting very well :)

Good stuff my friend, beautiful knife :) Thanks for reminding me it's Friday! :D

Great pic Vince :) I think all the trees and plants here are benefiting from a reduction in pollution, my lungs certainly feel better for it :)

Yeah, there's always someone on the graft o_O Thanks buddy :)

Good morning Guardians! Best wishes that you are all safe and well this morning! :) I’m going with my Ebony Waynorth Cutlery Lambsfoot today! :D

Excellent choice :)

Thanks, Ron. Desert Ironwood is one of the most beautiful woods, and all of Jack's SFO's turned out great, I think.

I’m in total agreement with you on that Vince! :)[/QUOTE]

Thanks for the kind words guys :)

I hope everyone is well. A little knife photography at home this afternoon.View attachment 1327870 .

Very nice :) Hope you're keeping well my friend

Your Man Jack is always a treat to see! :)
...
Nice to see the Man Jack again.
Not a lot of Guardians carrying the senator style.
And I say more, more, more, GT. Never enough. I thank you sincerely for the nice comments.
...
...
Good to see you here Gary, and your Man Jack :) I have a few pairs of Carhartt's carpenter's pants
...
THanks for all the kind words my friend, that's an excellent photo of your Man Jack
...
...
Nice to see that fine Man Jack getting an airing.:)
...
I'll come back after my attempt to stand up.
Ron, John, Harvey, Jack, David: I appreciate your appreciation of my Man Jack from last week. :)
Jack, I don't have Carhartt carpenter's pants, but I have some carpenter's pants that pretend they're Carhartts, and I admire their aspirations. ;)
David, best wishes for getting your back back in action ASAP.

That stag Damascus model is a treat, Dwight!:thumbsup::cool:

...
A local photographer took a photo of me shopping for the apocalypse last week ;)

That photo is a wonderful sign of the times, Jack! ;):cool: Maybe it's time for us all to do coronavirus updates to the Mug Shots thread.

...
I counted the pockets, and there were 26 (not counting my rucsac)!
...
WOW!! 26 pockets would allow me to have a separate pocket for each of my weekly carries, with plenty of pockets to spare!!:cool::cool::thumbsup::)

...
Thanks for the good wishes John. For this one it was a premature change to my summer quilt which let my back get to cold at night. It's happened before, it'll happen again.

I've enjoyed everyone's sourdough bread antics recently, so this is a cheat in comparison. My brothers banana bread made in a bread maker. I've just had a slice and it's absolutely delicious!
Y0TwSxi.jpg

...
It's amazing that such a seemingly small change could have such a large effect on your back's health, David!:(
Your stag HHB looks great with its banana bread "photo prop"!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Fine example of Anglo-American cooperation, Ron!:cool::thumbsup:;)

Superior photo, Harvey!:cool::thumbsup: Quite a different look for the Slater/Venture lambsfoots that you and Ron have!

My mom does that, too. Sometimes she gets to the dogs names before she finds the one she’s looking for! :D
We had dogs named Stella and Bella and a daughter named Elle, and the daughter used to get quite frustrated that my wife often seemed to use the names interchangeably. :D I don't think I ever messed up on that trio of names, but now that I'm older, Stella has died, and Elle lives elsewhere, I almost never get the names of the 2 remaining dogs (Bella and Gandalf) correct on the first try. :(

Intriguing photo, David!:cool::cool: For a stag HHB, life IS a bed of roses! ;)

Good morning Guardians! :) I got up this morning and went at 6am for the seniors only hour at Wally World! o_O I got everything I was looking for and then some! I surprisingly scored Charmin TP. :p I even got a set of headlamps to replace the low beams in Pam's car! ...
Ron, congrats on your victory as a Wally World Warrior!!:thumbsup::cool::)
My weekly grocery shopping trips for the past 6 weeks have been quite frustrating! Toilet paper of any brand has been available only once (limit 2 packages), gallons of milk are limited to 2 of any kind (while I usually get 2 gallons of organic each week for my wife and 1 gallon of regular for me), my brand of orange juice gallons has disappeared for the past month (so far), I've never seen any indication that the store ever heard of hand sanitizer, frozen vegetables of various kinds appear and disappear randomly, my brand of oatmeal and of instant coffee are not currently stocked, ...

There are a lot of YouTube tutorials on fashioning masks out of bandanas. It makes me a little nervous walking into the bank, though.
6vEqqJ7m.jpg

...
Looks very similar to one of mine, Rachel, except my bandana is a much darker blue!:thumbsup::cool: I used a link Harvey @cigarrodog posted in which the US Surgeon General taught how to make a bandana and rubber band mask.

...
Thank you my friend, I am definitely on the mend :)
...
Great to hear about the improvement, Jack!:thumbsup::thumbsup::)

Changed my mind. I'm taking this 2019 Guardians SFO with Ironwood covers by Jack Jack Black Jack Black with me today as it rarely gets pocket time and has never been to town with me.
...
Starting to sound like my wife picking her purse. ;):D:p
You should have more sympathy for her John. Sometimes, it's a difficult task to pick just one John.

:D:D:D
That's an impressive flock of 16 lambsfoot knives, ED!:cool::thumbsup: And even more impressive if you write the amount in different bases: 10 (base 16), 20 (base 8), 100 (base 4), 10000 (base 2).

Delectable bacon and Oates, Harvey!:cool::thumbsup:

Great pic, Dennis; I'm glad you kept that blond horn lamb, scratch and all!:thumbsup::cool:

Nice balancing act Jer :D I haven't used a drip-type coffee maker for decades. I used one of those stove-top Italian espresso makers for years, but I usually use a French-press (we call it a cafetiere here) these days
...
Not a bad way to make coffee Vince :) When I live in the Middle East, we used to use a small stove-pot pan, I loved that coffee :)
...

After witnessing my wife and daughter use many different methods for brewing coffee over the years (many of the methods are time-consuming and rather messy), I'm still pleased with my decision, when I felt the need to start ingesting caffeine for medicinal purposes a few years ago, to go with Folgers Crystals!
Striking pic of your stag HHB, Jack!:thumbsup::cool:

After losing a large multi quote for the third time let me just say “I’m not a happy camper”! :( ...
Almost everything I quoted here this morning was in a multi quote yesterday morning, but my MacBook somehow shut down on its own yesterday morning. :(

...
You made me look. I didn't think I remembered a song about a cat with a shotgun.
:D:thumbsup::D I live to serve!

Thank you for your kind words Gary, and for your Herculean posting effort :)

I wish! :D

The original and genuine

Thanks for your support, Jack. :) Another pic of Union Jack, "the original and genuine", follows. It's a pile side version of the mark side pose I posted earlier this week.

WOW!! 26 pockets would allow me to have a separate pocket for each of my weekly carries, with plenty of pockets to spare!!:cool::cool::thumbsup::)

Yeah maybe! :D Thanks buddy, I have always been a fan of extra pockets, given a choice between buying a casual shirts with or without pockets, I'd always go for the pockets!

Great to hear about the improvement, Jack!:thumbsup::thumbsup::)

Many thanks Gary, I'll be glad when it stops niggling o_O

Thanks Harvey I did thanks.
If that skull was life size that would be a really big lambsfoot.:D

I have been surprised how unenterprising most of the breweries seem to be o_O Go for it David!

Thanks Jack! What great adverts. I read a book last year on lost breweries and I'm sure Davenports was in it.
And 25p a bottle..... :eek::rolleyes:

The Ashley's Choice knives were in 2018 David

Nice HHB. :)

Yesterday the old Ellin & Co, Sheffield (maybe from the early 1900s), Lamb foot and in stag arrived in the mail and it is in my pocket today.;)

That's a handsome looking one, pity the blade is so worn but it looks like it's been well loved.

Good day everyone. Great lambsfoot pics as always.

Interesting. It's a shame they couldn't repurpose it for something useful. If nothing else, post-apocalyptic dystopian movie sets.

Sad local news: Threadgills is closed and will not be re-opening post-pandemic. :(
I'll have to find another place to get my New Year's black-eyed-peas, cabbage, and chicken fried steak...
