Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

One of my favorite shots of Sköll, John!
Thank you, GT. :)
That's why I keep it around. ;)

Pretty as a picture. :cool::thumbsup:

I carry a HHB Lambsfoot because I can't decide what flavor burrito to eat....and I wasn't hungry enough to eat 3.
What about you? :D
Have a really really good day y'all!

A CHOICE of burritos?!  Hope you're having a great day Kevin :)

Hope you have a good day at the market Jack. With your HHB in the pocket it's bound to be a good day:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

...

Good morning Guardians. Jack got me stoked so I am grabbing my HHB today and heading out shopping. Great sunny day but also hot and muggy here in southern NC.:)

Many thanks Bill :) Cool shot, I hope you have a smashing day :)

I hope you get a lengthy stretch of typical summer weather soon, Jack. :)
I think I'm quite fortunate that there wasn't more damage when I fumbled my Lam Jack.:rolleyes:

Thank you Gary, contrary to the forecast, today has been quite a nice day :) Just have to see about tomorrow, maybe the weather will defy the forecast again  Yes indeed :)

Thanks for the fantastic photos and comments about your hike, Jack.:thumbsup::cool: Very enjoyable to see the variety of surroundings through which you passed; about how far did you walk?
Gorgeous stag lambsfoot with damascus blade!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks again buddy, that walk was only about 5 1/2 miles. It was easier on my old feet than the walk into town this morning though

Great story (and video), Jack! :):cool:

I'd almost forgotten about my Donny Osmond encounter :D I guess I must have told my sister about it, but she must have been over him by then as I can't remember her going crazy, as she would have when she was a teenager

I also received "popular" aftershaves at Christmas, but never used them. My dad used Old Spice, and if I ever used aftershave, that's what I'd use. I still think Old Spice had a cool bottle/decanter.

That's funny Gary :D My uncle used Old Spice, he was in the navy, so maybe he liked the ship on the bottle! :D

Guardian of the sourdough !

You're a marvel Dan, great pic :)

Never wore a Nehru jacket, though I liked them. They became popular around 1968? Wasn't old enough to buy my own clothes then. I did wear some Indian style shirts as a teenager sometimes, and even wore a dashiki for awhile. Very colorful and very comfortable!

I had a couple of those Indian style shirts, a girlfriend bought them for me. I liked the style, but found them a bit tight in the shoulders, and around the arms. I had to look up what a dashiki was, I see quite a few of those round my way :)

I guess if my speakers aren't working I might as well disconnect them.

 :D

I hope you’re planning on frying some of that okra, Ron! ;)

I know we have some Guardians who are comic book enthusiasts, so here’s a trivia question for you:

Wolverine’s claws are made of bone fused with which metal?

A) Adamantium
B) Sheffield-made Carbon Steel

LOL! :D Very good Barrett :)

Good day, Guardians! I haven't posted here much recently, but I still follow along and enjoy all the great lambfoot content. I also still keep Jelly close by...
PeYpJoP.jpg

Stay safe, everyone!

Great to see you here Matt, and Jelly of course :)

After an early start, walking into town, standing up at the market for a few hours, doing my shopping, and then walking home again, I'm pretty worn out, but I've said I'll go out for a pint with my younger neighbour. He always wants to stay out long past my bedtime though, and tonight I think my bedtime would be about the time we're going out  Going to tote my AC for the evening :) Have a good one Guardians

I admire your Three Amigos, Ron!:cool::thumbsup:

Have a good evening Jack! Be careful, that's a rowdy looking bunch! :D

Time for a beer I think :)
When isn’t it time, Jack?:D

although I do seem to get better knife pics in "good" natural light than I do when using flash. Here's a pair of photos I took recently on the west side of our house fairly early in the morning, so it was quite "shady" and my pointNshoot camera advised that I "RAISE THE FLASH". I took one without flash and one with flash; the results are amazingly different to me!
Two great looks, GT.

Gracias Jack :)

You are just killing it Dan! So beautiful. I'm never posting my bread here again.
Thank you Dave for the kind words !
I am very happy you liked how the bread turned out !
Your beautiful baguettes and sourdough loaves was what prompted me to start this baking adventure, TY my friend  :)

Hey Guardians, wrapping up the work day and looking forward to another Rideau Canal adventure this weekend.
Pics to follow :D
Cheers

I have photography issues too Gary, so I take about 30 pictures and hope 1 turns out good enough to post. Using the camera on my 6 year old phone I can't expect much:D
I'll try to catch up with this thread tomorrow, but I thought I should at least check in tonight to report that I'm carrying my LamBarJack rosewood HHB this week. I'll also report that photography is still pretty much a mystery to me, although I do seem to get better knife pics in "good" natural light than I do when using flash. LOL :D:D:D
I was so incredibly excited that tomorrow we are going camping that I thought it was Friday today :D:D:D
( I am skipping work tomorrow )

:D

Good Morning Guardians! :) As expected, I didn't get my early night  The pubs here (some of them at least) re-opened a fortnight ago, and last night was my first night out since before the lockdown. It was quite interesting to see how things were. Since we didn't want to go into the city centre, I was minded of just how many pubs have closed in my area over the past decade, to the point where there are virtually none left. Having done some research online to see which establishments were open, me and my pal walked about a mile to a large pub with a substantial beer-garden. Twenty years ago, this was an 'old man's pub', but local demographics have changed since then, and now it's a pub-cum-restaurant, and somewhere I haven't been for a decade. Needs must though, and we thought we'd give it a try

We were greeted outside by two young men who explained the 'house rules', then asked to sanitise our hands with hand gel dispensed from a large and expensive-looking stainless steel column, operated by a foot-pump. My accomplice seemed to manage OK, but my first pump squirted hand gel onto my trousers, and the second onto my shoes  We were directed to a table outside, where we were told we had to order via a phone 'app'. I left that to my younger friend, but it still took about 20 minutes to install said app. When it was finally installed, there turned out to be only two less than mediocre beers available, and at about £1 more than we'd usually pay. Having waited so long, we ordered anyway, but even after 4 months away from the pub, when they were brought to our table, they took some drinking o_O

We moved on, and had a look at a modern place we have been to before, but it was very busy. A bar across the road, where I hadn't drank for 15 years, looked empty, so we thought we'd give it a try. Hand-gel on the door, payment by card only, but you could actually go to the bar. The beers were even more expensive, but at least they had a couple of decent ales on. We had a pint in the outdoor seating area, and then moved on to try to find a more traditional pub.

Both of the pubs we headed for were closed unfortunately, and so 30 minutes later, we ended up back in our former seats, where we ended up boozing until the early hours, before having a final pint in my garden, where the beer served is both better, and considerably cheaper

Hope everyone has had a decent week, and that you're looking forward to the weekend :) Slightly overcast here, but at least it isn't raining  I thought I'd carry this Old Friend today, my 2018 Guardians Lambsfoot in ebony, a once-regular carry, which has been out of my pocket for far too long. Have a good day Guardians

Take care Jack, those that hoot with the owls can't soar with the eagles:D. For me, going out boozing with the boys usually means a painful next day. Just takes me longer to
recover:rolleyes:.
