It's not pretty but it's a good sturdy working knife.

That's a very appealing knife Rob. A no nonsense working knife it certainly is, and something to admire, much like a really good basic chisel or gouge, draw knife, etc. Utility as the primary design consideration often results in beautiful tools.

I enjoy seeing the lovely horn, ebony, stag, and even mother of pearl, but none of my favourite knives have had fancy handle scales.

Michael

Edited to add: I'll take beautiful over pretty, any day. :)

Thank you, I got a 2018 calendar of vintage William Morris designed wallpaper. Maybe I should do a monthly picture. :)

That'd be great, strong Morris-Sheffield connection :)

It stopped raining long enough for some new photos. I have my large Rosewood included in my carries today. Hope y'all have a blessed Sunday! :D

Fantastic :)

Got almost all of my knives stored away at the moment, but the Guardians lambsfoot snuck out for a quick pic :)

I agree Michael, knives like that didn't sell for their looks, they're pure function, they were used, and carried, and loved, and lasted

Thanks Michael and Jack! I really like this knife, it's got a strong snap and no blade play. 4 1/8" closed. And of course the old Sheffield steel is wonderful ! It's a pleasure to use.

Those knives sure take a great edge don't they Rob, and fast! :)
