Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Fabulous photos Dan :) Is there no end to your talents?!  :D  Here's a good friend of mine singing a song you might like :)

Lyrics

Gracias Jack :)
I really loved the song, beautiful melody. Thanks for the Lyrics link :cool: so my Spanish wired brain could understand them :D. A little more digging and I found out it's about the Chilean mining accident in 2010 .

P.S. It's very easy to find the end of my talents :D .... just have my wife hand me her honey-do-list :D
(seriously,.... hanging blinds and curtains is got to be the most frustrating thing for a man to to :D )

The folk song/melody and the boating talk reminded me of a video I took years ago of us sailing in "Princess" (which I know regret selling).

I put it to Gordon Lightfoot song " Christian Island"
It brings great memories :)

My ebony lamb carefully inspecting the repairs and painting of this old wooden pram ....
in our basement

Tomorrow it’s going outside and hope it will be ready to hit the water on Friday when my Dad should be here to visit us for a couple weeks

Jack, if your looking for a decent watch strap:
https://mwcwatches.com/

I'm recycling a pic' as all I need is a small swayback.

Thanks for the link David, that's a good range  My watch actually came with a strap as well as the bracelet, so maybe I'll change them over. I ended up looking at those watches though, and nearly bought one. MWC watches seemed to get a lot of flack on watch forums though, not sure if it's justified or not  Nice Lambsfoot and SPAS 12 pic

Glad you enjoyed it Bill, I think a lot of English brains would struggle with Ewan's brogue (he has a Lambsfoot by the way) :D

That's a wonderful video Dan, great that you've recorded these happy memories for posterity :) Princess looks to be a beautiful boat too :)

Glad your Lambsfoot could help out my friend ;) I know very little about boats, and didn't realise that sort of craft was called a pram. Here a pram is a type of old-fashioned pushchair for babies, but the word is used for boats too, and I suspect that the pushchairs take the name because of the similar shape

Planning to pull my boat out Friday since they're lowering the reservoir. Tomorrow my lambsfoot will be exploring the southern Oregon coast.

Have a great time Josh

Jack Black Jack Black I just saw that an Antipodean Colonial escape' from the colonies has been captured in the Olde Dart in the vacinity of Yorkshire.
One Angry Emu Called Ethel.:D:D:D:D:D:D.

Yikes, not our most famous emu though mate ;) He even went to the US :D

There are wallabies living wild over here too, they've been here for years :)

Good Morning Guardians, hope everyone's week is going OK :) I was tempted to throw some wood in my pocket, but it was too much of a struggle to kick my Hartshead Barlow out of my pocket  Have a good day Guardians

Good morning Guardians! I guess it was inevitable that Big Eb would show his backside! So here it is! ;) Y’all have a great day and stay safe out there! :)

 :D

I've had a few things to do in the garden this morning, and it didn't take me long to pick another 4 pounds of blackberries (23lbs so far), and I'll be out to pick some more, and some apples after finishing my cheese on toast :) Then I need to make soup soup, as the tomatoes I bought from the market the other day are a little ripe, and a couple of crumbles of course ;)

Wow Jack! That’s a great harvest to be coming from your own garden! The blackberries and apples are a terrific resource. The cheese toast looks tasty pal. I’m assuming that might be Henderson’s on the top! ;) Hope the rest of the day is great for you my friend! :)

It's a fairly small patch too Ron, and my neighbours have picked some as well :) I was just going out to pick some more, but it's raining now unfortunately. I dread to think how many tons of blackberries are left unpicked around the country. I've only seen 3 other people picking them while on my walks. Even larger fruit like plums, cherries, apples, and pears go unpicked, it's crazy o_O Thanks a lot pal, I think I'm going to have a rest, and then make some tomato soup :) I'll be putting some Henderson's in that too, well spotted ;) :D

It’s been raining here too this morning. I’m not skilled in the methods, but my parents and grand parents used to dry fruit like apples and pears. They would make jams and jellies from the berries, plums and cherries. There’s a lot of things that I wish I had learned in my youth and these skills were definitely among them. I’ve been meaning to order some Henderson’s. I need to get that done. ;) Enjoy your soup pal! :)

If I'd realised how much fruit I as going to get this year, I might have considered making some jam. I might have to look into it for next year. Apparently blackberries need a bit more pectin than other fruit. Having said that, I'll also make sure I've got a bigger freezer for next year! :D I grew up picking anything we could find Ron. My father was a lazy man, but even he would sometimes go blackberry-picking when me and my siblings were young. My grandmother made pickles, chutneys, and jam, and country wine too. I find it bizarre that people are willing to pay a small fortune for blackberries (which grow wild everywhere here, and are easily recognised) in the supermarket, but won't pick them for free o_O Thanks Ron :)
