Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Dan, I'm sure I speak for everyone, when I say that your wonderful photos have been a hugely enjoyable contribution to the Guardians thread :) Thank you for the work you've put into taking them :) Personally, I can't wait to see some of them again

Thank you so much Jack for the kind words and you are very welcome my friend  !
:)

Beautiful bowl CelloDan CelloDan !
Gracias Mark !

I remember the original post, love the bowl. Did you finish it with a varnish, or is it just a wax finish highly buffed and polished?
Thank you Leon !
The wood is cocobolo which does not take to finishes very well.
I just waxed and buffed/polished it, that's all.

Good morning Guardians of the lambsfoot ! :)

Good morning Guardians. Glorious morning today but a little humid. Being from the Northeast U.S. fall still conjures crisp morning and the smell of burning leaves:). Here in the Southeast not so much. Still feels like summer and will continue until November (so will the threat of hurricanes:eek:). No matter; I have my trusty HHB in the pocket once again. May be a recycled photo - don't remember.

My Hartshead Barlow basking in the warmth of freshly baked sourdough, just out of the oven. :)

My family continues to insist on home made bread.
I decided to bake 4 loaves once a week to save time ( sourdough keeps very well in the freezer, so two loaves stay out and the other two go in the freezer tonight)

Beautiful bread Jack! I’m sure it’s tasty too! Your Hartshead Stag is looking better and better all the time! :)

It is really tasty Ron :) I buy bread from a few independent bakeries, but that one is definitely the best :)

My sourdough didn’t look that nice this morning but the flavor was great. I got one of my granddaughters into sourdough and now I have to make her toast every morning, works out for me it makes me take the time to have some also.
sorry for the double picture but I'm working from my phone again.

Interesting pics Chuck  Good for you, and I bet it tastes delicious Chuck :) All I did was hand over some cash for mine, and carry it home, so I think you definitely win my friend :)

Looks like ebony and stag are the order of the day :)

Thanks my friend. I always enjoy your pics with the old tools in the background.
I decided that my stag HHB shouldn't go through life without knowing what it is like to get up early and drag its butt to work. ;)

Beautiful scoring Dan!

Hope everyone's week came to a good conclusion ;) I'm just getting my gear together for a hike tomorrow, and I probably won't get a chance for more than a cursory check-in in the morning, so I hope you all have a great weekend, and I'll catch up when I get back. I'll be carrying my Hartshead Barlow ;)

It seems that the wildfire that presents a more immediate threat to my household has been growing in other directions besides mine. Still, we are continuing to be wary and vigilant and are prepared to bug out should the need arise. In the meantime, life goes on - staying indoors as much as possible due to the debilitating air quality. I've already developed a cough - it's none too pleasant.

The past several weeks has found me experimenting with a different [CENSORED] so it was quite pleasant to have my daughter bring a package to me in my office. Since I had a Lambsfoot within easy reach on my desk, I used that to open the parcel up - having not put one to any meaningful use for a few weeks, it was pure delight to experience again. The Lambsfoot is unmatched in everyday utility.

In the parcel was a fine copy of one of Sir Walter Scott's Waverly novels - Kenilworth - it will make a fine addition to my library. Before I put it in its place on the bookshelf, I thought I might use it for a photo opportunity with a fine Single Malt (a recently discovered favorite of my wife's) and a Waynorth Lambsfoot.
